Introduction: Save the Homeland is much different than any other Harvest Moon game that has been released. Instead of just trying to save your farm and restore it back to the way it was type of deal, this time around you have to save the entire island. A big amusement park company wants to buy the land from the government and construct a big amusement park, but this would mean everyone has to leave. Throughout this game you must discover a way to stop them! There are nine different ways that you can stop the company from taking control of the island. Discover all nine and you will be loved by the entire island!

This game is a little different than normal Harvest Moon games. Your play through the game only lasts for 1 year. Depending on the tasks you accomplished during that time, you can receive one of 9 different endings. This game also does not have a marriage system.
