Rod is standing on the bridge, lamenting about something. Souseki notices Rod's unhappy mood and asks what he's up to. Rod is hesitant, but asks him what one has to do to be called an "adult". Souseki asks him if there's something going on with his body, which seems to embarrass Rod a little bit. Rod explains that he went to the other village the other day and the people he knows haven't seem to settle down. He runs a shop and so he needs to be calm and stable, even if a transaction goes wrong. Souseki thinks that Rod's shop management has been reliable. Rod thinks he says a lot of immature things and he wants to be seen as a reliable person.

Souseki tells him that he got some advice from his uncle; if you want to be reliable, it's good to have room for consciousness. Rod doesn't understand, but Souseki tells him that it has a deep meaning. In times of silence, any person can calm. Those who act based on their feelings can change to consider things in a more rational manner. That's what it means to be an adult.

It seems that Souseki's advice hasn't improved Rod's mood; maybe he's thinking about being in a calm state of mind! One can be able to rely on a lot of people. Rod is cheered up and asks Souseki how he can make room. Souseki tells him that before he speaks, he should take a deep breath to clear his mind. This method is effective for any situation. Rod thanks Souseki for his advice.

Just then another person makes an appearance. Did Souseki forget that he was to give him his usual news article today? He's here at the right location and meeting time. Souseki thinks for a bit, but doesn't seem to have anything. The other person becomes annoyed and Souseki tells him that adults should be calm, but the editor argues that a calm person would keep his commitments. Poor Souseki apologizes and runs off. The editor complains that Souseki acts just like a child.

Result: +1000 FP with Rod
