Wheat Family

This crop can be processed by the Windmill to create Flour. It doesn't take very long to grow, and can only be harvested once. There are only three mutations of Wheat available in the game. The sale price offered by Hanna and Sam are the same for all mutations.

If you are trying to grow Great Wheat during Summer, try growing it below level 25. At higher levels your crop might mutate into Durum Wheat instead of becoming Great Wheat at harvest time.

Wheat

Barley

Mutates from Wheat when grown on Grassy Soil during Fall.

Another way to obtain a lot of Barley is to complete the Harvest God's Fall Gift 1 request. This is available after you complete his 6 personal requests and you are in Fall season. You will need to turn in 3 Barbatus and 3 Goby fish, which can be caught during Fall. In exchange, you will receive 5 Great Barley. Do this request six times to obtain the 30 Barley you need to sell to unlock the seeds. The Fall Gift 2 requests also rewards you with 5 Great Barley, but requires 3 Great Apple Jam and 3 Great Bread.

Rye

Mutates from Barley when grown on Dry Soil during Winter when using Mosquito Blend fertilizer.

Just like with Barley, the Harvest God's Winter Gift 1 request will reward you with 5 Great Rye. It requires 3 Sapphire and 3 Diamond to complete. Request 2 also earns you with 5 Great Rye, but requires 3 Great Marmalade and 3 Great Bread. The ores may be easier if you don't have enough Great Wheat to convert into Great Flour.
