If you have Ann's heart color purple or higher, go to the Inn when it's raining or snowing outside. If you're there when Duke and Doug are there together (between 2pm and 4pm or so) you'll come across the two of them arguing. Ann is trying to stop them from having their argument, but they won't listen to her.

Ann asks if you would help her stop them from getting into a fight. If you decide to help, you will attempt to split the two men up. Doug and Duke are both irritated that you've tried to break them up, but then they can't even remember what they were arguing about! The guys smile and tell you they won't fight anymore. Mayor Thomas is just glad they've stopped so he can finish his meal.
