When you first start your game, you don't have a lot of money. One of the best ways to earn some money is to sell the fish you catch, but you don't have a fishing rod! To get a free fishing rod, visit Zack's house between 11am and 5pm. He'll tell you that a friend left behind a fishing rod and Zack doesn't need it. Instead of throwing it away he'll give it to you to use.

Before you can receive the fishing rod, you must make sure you have an empty slot available in the Tools section of your rucksack. If your rucksack is full of tools, you won't see this event.
