With my farm (which is Bluebell) I once made over 300,000G in one season without the seed maker.

I originally chose Bluebell because I love the idea of a nice, European, romantic, and fairy-tale like town, and because animals give you lots of profit and I just love that there's so much room to raise them. (not to mention i like the style and villagers.) Then I moved to Konohana because I wanted to give it a try to raise more crops than animals, and after about a season or so I moved back to Bluebell because I wanted all my precious animals back. :| So yeah, Bluebell all the way! :lala:

I picked Konohana at the start of the game. It was a good choice for me because I expanded the farm before going to Bluebell. The best farm to start out is definitely Konohana.
But in my opinion, I like Konohana better. The people there are more comfortable to talk too, there are more interesting villagers too. Bluebell mostly have bland villagers in my own perspective. I'm more of a person who likes crops more than animals in the gameand I'm Asian that's why I feel more comfortable there
But comparing the farm, I would choose Bluebell, as everyone say, you can use the farm in Konohana
and I like the Alpacas in Bluebell.

Gaming wise, Bluebell is nicer since you can use Konohana's fields without actually living there. So, you get the benefit of both.

However, on how much I personally like them... Ayame is in Konohana, so Konohana wins by a landslide. I love the houses more, and just the village in general. The stream is nice, too... If I were to imagine them all actually laid out and not clumped game style, Konohana would be gorgeous. I really don't see Bluebell ever being... un-clumped (not... a word...). Plus, you can get Mikhail, Dirk, Kana, and Hiro all in Konohana. That, and I'd rather eat the food in Konohana. I have a thing for fruit and Mako has magical trees that produce different fruit based on the season XD

Yes! I love Dr Ayame so much! She is my favorite character, by far.

I like both honestly. I live in Bluebell since I prefer livestock to crops, but I can still use the Konohana fields. I get the best of both worlds <3

For me Bluebell is far more beautiful. Kono's music gets a tad annoying after a while, and Bluebell gets reasonable field space for you to farm whatever crops you want, and plenty of space for animals.

Kono the barn is just way too small, restricted to just 4 cows/or sheep, a horse, and two chickens? Kono's fields are dramatically too large as well, you'd waste all your stamina just watering half of it twice a day. But you can bring in by the time of your first summer like 50,000+ gold per month, I hit 120,000 from 19,000+ on my first fall at kono just by growing crops religiously. I don't see that kind of profit off animals so early in the game, you need alot of them to really match that with good heart rating.

But after you get Kono built up so you can put like 6-8 trees on it I think it would be well worth staying at Kono for a year or more just to get it to such a position because trees don't require much mending, or work you can leave them at kono while living in Bluebell and only check them every once and w hile.

Almost end of year 6 and 24 million. Already upgraded both houses, bought the UFO cart and 2 expansions away from all done at Konohana. So I've made at least 50 million so far. That's what a full Konohana crop field + seed maker can do. Maxing animals at Bluebell is great too (alpaca wool!) while staying at Kono, you can work on a few animals at a time to increase productivity (without having to stethoscope each one or feed one to everyone cuz it's faster).

So live at Bluebell after expanding Everything and you'll make the most money. Live at Konohana to take a break from the hectic animal raising schedule. =)

I always thought I would prefer Konohana, because I have always like crops better than animals. However, since there are about 6(?) types of livestock animals and the Konohana barn limits you to four, I've started to become really annoyed by it. Now I'm working really hard to fully upgrade Konohana and escape so I can own one of every animal!

I like to care for animals better than crops, but when I talk about towns, my favourite one is Konohana. The people, the shops, the looks, everything feels like home there.

But when I fully upgrade this farm, I'll move to Bluebell for good, cause I love the animals and Konohana has very little space for them.

Harvest Moon 2 ! Actually it was only called 64 outside Japan for some reason. Japan it was Harvest Moon 2. I dislike how it's displayed on this forums showing HM 1/2 as Gameboy games, when thats not true at all. Very miss leading. xD

64 to me was the best one. It's the most timeless HM game and I think the longest I went on a single save game was 9 years more than any other HM game I've ever played. It was more rewarding personally, festival rewards were worth wild, 80%+ of the decorations in your house were gifts or rewards for festivals or winning town raffles. So you had more ingame memories every time you walked into your home. The n64 HM game also had the most balanced farm personally, just the right amount of space for everything.

For such reasons one day I hope they make like a "Return to Flowerbud Village" style HM sequal to Harvest Moon 2. Harvest Moon 64 and Harvest Moon the original were related, in the same village, with new villages, 64 was set two generations later from the first game. So it had history which was nice. Ellen for example who as also on BTN was one of the possible brides on the original Harvest Moon, on the 64 and BTN she was Elli's grand mother.

But still really ending my rant. BLUEBELL!

For people like me, it's the most balanced farm. Since you DO NOT HAVE to own a lot of animals if you don't want to. The massive fields on Kono just COMPELL me to want to fill them all up. Kono's small barn also just makes it not fun, you can not have enough animals. T.T
