In the RK ps2 game this 'Kai/Dan' says he came from Mineral Town and has the personality of Kai. Rk ps2 did come out before MM, so maybe it was Kai but wanted to give him a new name and pesonality...?

That is certainly Dan and not Kai...It looks like someone somewhere got really mixed up. From the dialogue it sounds like the wanted it to be Kai but they put Dan.

What is even stranger is that it says it is Kai but he looks so like Dan.
