true..(to the move ot 3ds) but that means a lot of the earlier games may become cheaper (yay ^^) 2nd hand. and most of nintendo's stuff does not punish you for not being the original owner. you can erase most games data and then just overwrite the game+your DS connection with a new one. i had to do that over and over with rune factory one when i loaned the BF my old brickDS and i had uk and canada copies to connect up and only my DSlite.
guys can use their deep back pockets for the XL editions (assuming they arent all wearing tracksuit bottoms or those horrible trousers (pants to you USA folks) where the crotch is at your knecaps XD) or use their Manbags (like a womans purse in usa *handbad to a UK person* but made for guys. apparently they are popular in some parts XD. personaly, i use a backpack for everything)
question is, now do i stop saving for a quad core and use the cash when a 3dsXL arrives....trade in my current 3DS towards cash off the XL version (so less savings used) or....option 3, get the BF to buy the XL and borrow it when he isnt using it for games that i need bigger writing to read?

^I just put my XL in my purse. Unless you're a guy, then you can't put it in a purse. XD
Anyway, game makers are going to be switching to the 3DS. The DS is at the end of it's lifetime. There's not going to be much coming out for it anymore, so if you want to play upcoming games, you'll have to buy a 3DS sooner or later.

I've never gotten the use of the XL. To me it defeats the purpose of a HANDHELD. My normal DSLite and 3DS fit in my pocket. Can't take that ridiculously sized 3DSXL with you in your pocket!
I'd rather have some new and exciting games!

My wishlist:
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Animal Crossing Fantasy Life*
*DEFINITELY look up Fantasy Life. It doesn't even have a Japanese release date yet, but so far it looks AWESOME. I'm not sure how far the comparison will go ultimately, but it does look a bit like Harvest Moon probably if you chose the right carreer. You can actually chose what kind of character you would like to be (soldier, farmer, whatever) and act out that life in that game. Or something like that. I don't know all the details, but it looks awesome.

Here are some upcoming titles for you to ponder over
07/03 Theatrhythm Final Fantasy 07/17 Heroes of Ruin 07/31 Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop D... 08/19 New Super Mario Bros. 2 11/18 Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion
And that is not counting games that we know are coming out this year that just don't have dates (Luigi's Mansion and Paper Mario).

But if you're using a third party battery, it really doesn't say anything about the 3DSs battery life, right? And yes you should only charge when needed. So far I'm regretting my 3DS purchase a little.. The only games out at the moment that I actually like are Kid Icarus and Mario 3D land. And if I'm honest I only like Mario because there's nothing better out there. TOTT doesn't count as I have the DS version already. I thought there'd be a region unlock by now so I could buy ANB... >__>

This is so wrong it is not even funny D: Only charge it when you need to, that is when the battery is about to die, over charging will only kill the battery faster and then you have to get a replacement battery and I am not sure if Nintendo sells those. As for the battery it last about 3 hours on the second brightest setting with 3D turned all the way up. I would highly recommend the system as we are getting to the point where games are starting to come out on a regular base. If you are looking for some games I recommend these Kid Icarus: Uprising (3DS) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS) Legend of Zelda: Link's Awaking (VC/GBC/eS) Donkey Kong (VC/GB/eS) Pushmo (eS) Kid Icarus: 3D Classic (eS) Kirby's Adventure: 3D Classic (eS) eS= eShop VC= Virtual Console GB= Gameboy GBC= Gameboy Color Internet access is required to connect to the eShop. Well I apologize about my incorectness o_o so I guess i should stop charging it.... but the battery is a 3rd party one. It doesn't really matter if it is third party, over charging will kill a battery faster then normal. And I apologize if I sounded like a prick in my last post XD I could have worded that in a kindlier manner.
