well depending on who you marry it could take a while. It took me four years to marry Gray, it would have been three...but the year his birthday fell on a Thursday there was a blizzard and I didn't know about it until the day of and couldn't reload back. I like waiting though, it makes the game more interesting ^^ besides, if you have Cute...you can woo all of the guys ~and~ the special girls, so seeing all of their heart events is worth it :D

^ Pudding.

Anyway, when I courted Keira I waited a whole year before I married her.
I still courted her in that year, though.

I usually get married as soon as possible. But I think that the next time I start a file, I'm probably going to wait a good while. Since the game is boring after marriage.

Cause I don't get married XD.
Thats actually not a bad idea since that will keep the game interesting I guess haha.

But I usually have no problem on working on farm work and romance at the same time, but I usually don't propose until after a couple or a few years since I like to keep the game going...if that makes sense...

The first time I played it, I married Kai as soon as I finished rescuing the sprites (I think everybody likes to get married early during their first time playing the game. lol). Second time, I waited until I've seen all rival marriages then married Kai again (What can I say? I'm loyal.. )

Now I'm playing it the third time after 3 years, and I think I'm not gonna marry anyone this time. :P

WHAT??? Why not? I always get so excited for marriage, for me it's part of the Harvest Moon experience.

And I usually try to marry pretty early. When I first started playing Harvest Moon, I went for one girl, wooed her, and married as soon as possible. But now I try to woo everyone (unless someone really bothers me) and it takes more time. In Cute I thought that the rivals would only get married before my marriage, so I was waiting to marry Kai until year four. Then I found out they would still marry after my marriage... but I found out at the very end of summer during my second year so I had to wait until year three to marry. Even if I marry early though, I always wait until at least the second year because I like to go through all the festivals at least once before marriage.

I just started a new slot file on my Harvest Moon DS cartridge today, and I do plan on waiting a little while before beginning to scope out and court a potential wife. Right now, money is my biggest priority. Once I have enough time (and enough Harvest Sprites) to use the casino, I'll gamble my butt off so I can spend as little money on possible on the Love Bangle. Once I get this item, though, I'll begin courting Nami.

The casino.
I've earned so much, and lost it all in that place.
It's like Vegas for people who can see harvest sprites. D:

I get married halfway through the game...well halfway through my goals actually.

This way the game is fun before and after marriage and I don't find myself in the typical Harvest Moon rut where you have no idea what to do and you just wait for your kid.

i'm the kind of person who wants to get married asap. but unfortunately, i play the game so slowly that it takes a long time to get married. by then, i would've lost interest in the game... sigh.... :(

I wait until I'm a few years in before I get married. I want to woo everyone! So, it takes a little bit of time.
