well it's very similar to Fomt especially when it comes to farming raising the animals is different because of the stinky touch glove
why not ask your brothers to borrow their game for an hour or two. Play but don't save over their files and get an idea for how you like it? =)

I get bored of stroking every single animal every single game day. exactly!!!! I focus way more on my crops then my animals because of this.

Both of my brothers own HM DS, and I've watched them play it, and the game looks quite good. I'm beginning to run out of things to do on FoMT, so would you recommend I buy one? Yes definately because in my opinion, its the best harvest moon game, even though the first! Theres LOADS more to do in this game than further games surprisingly! Lots more people to marry if you connet to GBA as well!

Thanks again for the replies! I will have to try out one of my brothers' games because from watching them before, it looked quite good. I thought that looked quite cool, though I'm sure it'd get extremely tedious after a while, and especially if you have lots of animals (like I do on FoMT!)

Exactly, it's cool at first, but boring after a while, and makes me worry about scratching my screen. In Island of Happiness theres a similar game, but you cannot choose to do it, lets say there's a % chance to get the icon, and you can stroke your animals, you don't need glove and they like to be stroked everywhere, it's way better.

tpchittock wrote: Wow! There are LOADS of sprites! Looks like this game is much more challenging than FoMT in the fact that there's lots more to do in comparison! There really are a lot, I still haven't unlocked them all On top of that, there are four mines to explore, some have a lot of floors and some have evil chickens >:D Well, all chickens are evil, but these are even more evil

There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story. The pictures used for my signature and icon were not made by me.

Ah yeah, I've seen my brothers in the mines. They have holes to drop down and stuff, right? Meaning, they are much deeper than the 255 floors on FoMT... Greenfly11 wrote: Well, all chickens are evil, but these are even more evil haha! Fair point!

Well I really enjoyed this game! It's like the oldest one but IMO its better than some of the new ones. It's certainly very addictive if that's what you want.
