Help!!!!!!! I think my pets are gone!!!!

My cat and dog were in the basement before it disappeared, and now they're gone :!:

That happened a while ago, and I don't think they're coming back :!:

Any ideas

Well, if I were you I wouldn't have saved, just reloaded. But, if you did, they're probably gone. See what happens the next day (and tell us).

The critters were in the basement, but a storm collapsed it?

The behind the scenes code now is fighting between "basement gone, everything in basement gone" and "cat and dog are forever". Good luck with that.

I got my dog back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lol:

I built another basement and he was just sittingwrite there!!!!! Don't know about the cat, though...

Unfortunately, this game has some serious glitches when it comes to pets. That's why I always save/reloaded bad weather away, and when I was doing upgrades to my house, I kept my pets outdoors. :C If your dog came back but not your cat, there's a chance it may never come back. I remember hearing stories about pets getting stuck inside house upgrades (like the bathroom) and even getting stuck inside things like the accessory box (happened to me, actually). Only way to fix it was the reload from a previous save.

Actually, I got another basement and my cat was there, too. All is well, now!

That's good that you got your pets back. I've always feared the lost or stuck pet glitch, so I keep my pets in the barn with my horse so I'll always have them!

Can you demolish them? In HMDs I built the in-house extensions (bathrooms, basements) from stone, before I got my "I want a golden farm"-flashbulb moment. Those stone things were the shame of my otherwise golden farm.

Now in Cute, I am waiting on building them to a time that I have enough gold to build them from gold. Not quite there yet, my fortune being in the tens of Millions, and not hundreds of Millions. The barns, sheds and so forth I have built from stone, but they can always be demolished.

I keep all my animals out in the pasture, in fear of these glitches. Gotz is stupid though, when he comes to my doorstep announcing his build intentions, he lets my dog, cat and horse out of the fenced area, grumble.
