Sorry I am on here so much with so many questions. I just am so confused on this game!
Anyways I had a few questions....
When can I unlock more island to grow crops on? I have the Spring one.
There are patches of ground which look like areas where crops could grow but it will not let me grow there. Will I always not be allowed to grow there or do I unlock it sometime? (I am talking about the Spring Island. There are dirt patches here and there which look like places crops and trees could grow but it won't let me do anything with them)
Can I upgrade the island so to speak so I can have more monsters there?
This is unrelated to the island but can I upgrade Ymir so I can hold more than 10 monsters in the monster barn? I love trying to have at least one of every monster.
Thanks for reding this and thanks in advance for your help!

1. Later on during the story.

2.Those are the patches and you need to use your Spirit Rod/Wand there. Make sure the island is unstoned though.

3. No, there's only so many monsters there. You can make them more friendlier and they will work more/grow rarer crops [if that is in there list].

4. No. That's all he holds. But once you get more Islands, you can have your crop monsters there and have more so to speak.

When exactly in the story? I am in summer, I have Pandora almost at 1fp, I defeated the monsters at Shrine Island, and I am currently working on beating the monsters at Earth Sprit Shrine.
also the chapter I am on is Talynn's Farewell. Am I supposed to do something with the Arch Dragon?

Also the patches I am referring to are not the one around the giant tree. It is the one (i think actually 2) large dirt patches further down the island.

Just later on. You'll get their quest around the time you go into the different Shrines. It's take a bit.

You have to keep releasing sprite/runeys until you get around 100% for them. You start with the patch around the tree/entrance first and spread out from there. Find a island/shrine with a few good places to gather them and gather them every day and release them all.

Okay haha thanks. I feel like an idiot now. I have a whole ton of sprites saved in my storage. I probally have nearly enough for 100% since I gathered sprites nearly everyday

That's okay. ToD changed the system and it's nothing to be embarrassed about. There's some guides further back that covers the best monsters for each island. You can grow out-of-season crops on islands, but they take longer to grow.

Here is one such guide that that recommends optimal monsters, however, it's an endgame mix so the challenge is build great mixes as you go.

interesting facts about this mix, compared to my own:
the spring mix recommended produces a large amount of cabbage.
the summer mix is low on onions, high in tomato(I like being able to make Ratatouille).
autumn mix is good, just kinda slow to build up.
winter mix is good, I should have gone back and started producing light/dark crystals, but I have a surplus from the summer fireworks nightime sale.
Currently, I expend 2 earth crystals from my troll king to make musuo, and sell for 5820. instead I could make Rakshasa and Shinza to sell for similar profit.

The mostest importantest secret of the game is the Summer 19 monster parts sale at night.

If you use this sale, you will be able to be rich and max out carpentry. I wish I would have bought more magic powder&knife points for katana production, and more insect skins for profitably getting rid of silver.
