I'm a little bit confused and I have a few questions .

-1.What is the best way to grow rare flowers and crops like lamp grass or four leaf clovers ?

-2. Does it matter what seasonal island you are on ? Can anyone list what grows on what island?

-3. what monster grows maple trees ?

-4. how do you determine what level variety crop you're going to plant like.. say you want a pumpkin but you get a carrot how would you make your monster plant pumpkins instead, I'm sorry did that make sense?

I REMEMBER YOU.
You were the person with the awesome coloring! o:
/hi~

1 - Raise your monsters' friendship with you by brushing them (and feeding of course). The higher the friendship, the more likely to get rarer crops.

2 - Nah, it doesn't matter. Anything can grow anywhere~ There might be benefits to growing certain crops on certain islands, but I don't quite remember, and I never noticed the difference anyway.

3 - Furpuffs (blue chipsqueek/squirrel) do. They're the easiest one to get I think. This thread shows what monsters grow what. Just search what material or monster you're looking for, and voila, you get your answer~

4 - Again, it's by their friendship levels. There's really no way to know for sure, but the higher their friendship with you, the higher "level" crops grow more frequently, and the lower level ones less often~

1. in addition to brushing the animal, build up the island. And see #4
2. if you're worried about it, use past games as a guideline.
3. arch demon as well.
4. A zero friendship animal will plant only his first crop 90% of the time. Multi-harvest crops tend to dominate other crops. Slow flowers greatly reduce "turnover" and drop island productivity.

So, lets go through some cases:

Pumpkin: Tricky mushroom is a guaranteed high source of pumpkin forever. Tundra *can* plant pumpkin but even at level 10 friendship eggplant will dominate.
ONION: many creatures grow onion, but only the goblin pirate grows it well.
dorados will let pineapples crowd out the onions.
cabbage: 6 animals grow it, only 1 does it well. A quick search of the critter list will tell you which animal it is.
Lamp grass: the fall flower is far better at producing lamp grass.
clover: ooh, tricky. you're stuck with a surplus of strawberry, tomato, or cucumber. My guess is the tortoise, with it's slow flower, is worse. my elephant sucks. I never tried a mammoth, but it might outperform the elephant. I don't mind strawberries tho.
