Once an event starts, it will never "erase itself". It'll remain active and prevent other events from happening until you see it. You can never miss out on an event forever.Rielle wrote:Hi there!
I got this game a few weeks ago and I've played some harvest moon games before. I'm currently on Winter and I'm not used to searching up guides when playing because there's a thrill on discovering surprises yourself. Unfortunately, I wasn't familiar with the "Sub-Events" and so I remember there are times that an event is taking place when I checked my diary but I chose to ignore it. Any chances that these events will occur again?
It's a huge pain in the « Mr.Gourmet's hat » to restart the game all over again. I'm level 120-ish with 60 something level on crafting, forging and cooking and I don't ever want to repeat anything again D':

I didn't even bother with the events because I was so busy racking up cash and leveling up crafting/etc skills. I already forgot which event I might have triggered, although I think I don't have unfinished event right now. The last event that I finished was "A Favored Repaid" which was during Valentine's Day as far as I can remember. There were times when I saw in my diary that an event is going on but I purposely to ignored them because I didn't know it was kinda important. So what you're saying is that I can get back to them sometime again, right? I've already finished the 2nd arc btw and not wanting to trigger the 3 arc until I get to see at least half of the town events.
I'm currently dating Dylas and Arthur, and actually planning to date all of them just to see how they act during dates. I'm planning to marry Dylas but I'm hoping NOT to trigger his marriage event yet
Btw, I'm very thankful for this thread because I can post in anon and people are actually replying very quickly. Thank you so much!
I'm confused. Are you saying that at some point a town event appeared on your diary and then it disappeared without you finishing it? I didn't think that was possible. Maybe you did the event and simply don't remember.Anonymous Fish wrote:OMG, now it's more complicated :v

Also, you can always say 'no' during a marriage event and then propose yourself later. No penalty at all.

This. Once an event triggers and you save, that event remains active until you finish it, blocking all other town events during that time. If an event vanishes from your diary, you completed it. Some of the events end a bit anti-climatically, so it's possible you didn't realize one finished when you stumbled across its ending.*LaI* wrote:I'm confused. I see. I may have completed them without knowing then. Sorry for the confusion since I'm not really familiar with the whole town event gig ^^ Just to be clear, as long as I haven't finished the event that popped up in my diary even though days and months have passed, it won't just go away right? I've been going to dates with Dylas for almost everyday since we started dating. Does dating cancel any ongoing sub-events that doesn't involve him?Anonymous Fish wrote:This. Oh no, I don't want to turn him down when he propose. I want him to propose! But not right now since I'm not really ready with marriage so I'm hoping I won't trigger it somehow. Which is why I made it to this section because I was searching for clues or things that I shouldn't do so he won't propose immediately. Then I discovered that I'm playing this game very wrongly for not being aware of the importance of sub-events, and that I'm going to dates with Dylas for almost everyday which was also not good as well ||OTL
Yes, it should still be there. Dating only cancels the chance of starting an event, and if a character is involved it'll simply refuse to go.Anonymous Fish wrote:I see. To get the marriage event you need 3 dates, which you've already done, and to have seen one or several other events. For Dylas is only one, Smile Practice. If you haven't seen that one yet, you don't have to worry about triggering the proposal. If you have, a drastic option would be to save before sleeping, talk to Dylas first thing in the morning and reset if it's triggered. Most likely you'll get a different event.

Thank you! That's a load off my chest. I guess I have to stop going to dates with him for the mean time and work on the sub-events first. Goodbye to our precious time of cheek poking </3*LaI* wrote:Yes, it should still be there. I am going for Vishnal this time but noticed the Marriage event walkthru has not been posted. I also have looked at the utube video but the creator recorded more than just the actual cutscene portions which makes it so long I can't make it all the way thru before I turn it off. Could anyone who may have married (or seen the marriage event for) Vishnal let me know how they got it going? (you know where it began, that sort of thing).
Thank you
Thank you
The walkthroughs for the marriage events are here, http://www.fogu.com/hmforum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=159998HM Grammy wrote:I am going for Vishnal this time but noticed the Marriage event walkthru has not been posted. Thank you, I had forgotten there were 2 separate places to go.*LaI* wrote:The walkthroughs for the marriage events are here, http://www.fogu.com/hmforum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=159998HM Grammy wrote:I am going for Vishnal this time but noticed the Marriage event walkthru has not been posted. Does anyone have the transcript of Doug's mini-event? The one on the bridge? It's the one event that I haven't seen on my Frey file, and at this point, the only way I could get it is by starting a new game and going though the entire story again. I'd really prefer not to do that, if possible - I'd much rather continue my normal Lest file, but I told myself I wouldn't do that until I got all of the events with the bachelors. Thanks in advance if anyone has it!
And, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but what level recipe is Apple Pie? I'm planning to do a quick run-through of the majority of the bachelorette's marriage events on my side-Lest file, so I know who I'll marry for my main, but Clorica's requires you to either propose or give her pie, which leaves me pretty stuck. Is it a relatively low-leveled recipe, or should I just skip her event for now? (And does anyone know if any other marriage event does something similar? Besides Xiao's, I mean.)

I don't think it ever grows. I'm in year 9 and have finished the third arc and the flower still hasn't grown.Starrynight28 wrote:Not that I know of. When the flower was first planted in my game, I thought it would grow into a beanstalk or something so I could get up to the Obsidian Mansion that I could see up on the cliff. I guess I was completely wrong.
