Ushi No Tane - Harvest Moon

Hi y'all! I cant trigger Vaughn and Sabrina's first Rival Event I'm in early spring year 2; courting Natalie; and have gotten Elliott and Julia's along with Lanna and Denny's first event. I keep entering east town between 5 and 8 on Wed and Thurs but nothing happens! They've both been there for a season and a half now; so I don't know what the problem could be. Help?

You've checked you have all these requirements, right?

have you do this? you should do this before u can trigger their event

» Walk from W.Town to E.Town
» 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
» Sunny or Clear weather only
» Wednesday or Thursday
» At least 14 days must pass since Vaughn and Sabrina were unlocked
» Sabrina (boy player) or Vaughn (girl player) at a Black heart color

Maybe Sabrina is at purple heart colour or higher... that's most likely the case. =) I know it seems cruel, but you could try giving her things she hates to lower it, or you could ignore her for a while. Although, be sure to keep talking to Regis, otherwise they'll both move away for a bit! =(

I think Sabrina hates curry. Also, once I gave her an alexandrite (a very rare item that you find in the mine) and she said that she didn't like it. Although, I don't recommend you give those up because they're rare and valuable. Still, curry can be hard to get hold of...
If the worst comes to the worst, don't forget: I'm pretty sure that nobody likes things like weeds or stones. XD
But giving disliked gifts isn't the best way to activate rival heart events. Making friends is part of the game, and it kind of puts you behind if you annoy them on purpose. =)

Can't remember if she likes them in this game, but in (M)FoMT Popuri actually likes weeds. Don't think they up her friendship level much, but she smiles and thanks you for giving them to her...

Also Mark and Chelsea will accept anything with a smile, including weeds, stones and rubbish.

But your point is valid; most people hate recieving weeds and other refuse.

On the other hand, if you don't want to lower her friendship level, and you don't mind waiting, you could always wait until you're married to veiw the rival heart event. Then it doesn't matter how high their friendship levels are with you.

However; I think this might just be a bug. I barely talk to Sabrina and shes at black heart.I have every other requirement so....
