Ushi No Tane - Harvest Moon

GrB didn't make me angry. I was slightly disappointed and confused, but it is a pretty enjoyable game so I was fine

ToTT and IoH on the other hand...

I found this game to be an interesting addition to the series. Enough basics to be called Harvest Moon and just enough of a variance to make it unique

I liked the 'bazaar' feature. I still play it, and
compared to Two Towns, it was my favorite.

But it turned me into a pedophile....

The only thing in this game I don't like is only being able to save when you go to sleep .

Not really! It's the best thing to calm my willies. It reminds me of River Cottage and there's this psychological satisfaction from selling stuff in the bazaar.

I love IOH like a baby but the sun points and the random weather got to me.

I think the game needed more dialogue. As with any HM, I get bored reading the same things over and over. They should have made them change by day of the week or seasonally or both...so we can get a more in-depth view of their personalities.

It would have been nice with a mine, and maybe a request board and somewhere else to explore. The town was so small and even in the winter, where secret locations are revealed, it's waayyy too tiny. There's nothing special added. They should have some wild area to forage in, like a mountain or forest or something...

I was so bummed when I got the racetrack and realized it wasn't anything super engaging or some place to explore. XD

It didn't make me angry, but I didn't really like how lazy they got with the village. I mean, the two houses next to the mayor's are just...identical. The sprites are even identical, with only different colors. I found that to be very disappointing.

I also took a several month break from playing harvest moon, and when I decided to play again, I found it really hard to get back into GrB. I couldn't remember what I was going to sell at the bazaar or where it was or anything. So I gave up on that and switched back to ToTT.

This was (and actually still is for now) my first Harvest Moon game.
Although it does get boring pretty often, and you can only save before going to bed , it's simple, straightforward fun.

I've promised myself to play this game until at least year 8... And to help me do this, I've slowed down things. For example, I waited an entire year to upgrade the bazaar to 75% (all you have to do is not go to see the results). I only buy a handful of animals in a year and only buy one pet per year, if that. I limit my profits at the Bazaar (even though it's now year 4 spring and I'm as ridiculously rich as Mitt Romney ) by purchasing small quantities of crop seeds.
Oh, and although I'm currently able to marry any of the five bachlorettes, I'm putting off marriage until year 5.

The game has its flaws, but it's done a good job of introducing me to Harvest Moon.

So yeah okay, I haven't gotten this game and I'm assuming that I shouldn't
Or should I save up to buy it so that I can find out for myself
