How long can you stand to not have the owl?

I didn't really ever need it. I just used it when I was in a hurry. Plus, for some reason, I always get a kick out of an owl carrying me...

I already finished the tunnel, but before it I couldnt SURVIVE without the owl. i would use him every day because i was too lazy to walk all the way to Konohana. I didnt really forage much.

It's funny. Before i got an owl, i had no idea that he would be willing to haul my butt down a mountain.

I think the owl is very cute, and I like how it perches on my head...

but...

I never use it. It seems just as fast to gallop over the mountain as to run up half and then take the owl down
but my L button is broken so my character has to walk everywhere, maybe that's why

Clove, I think you can put your mouth on your L button and blow to fix it.
It always works for me. :o

I haven't really used my owl that much.
I go through the whole mountain, foraging.

For me, the owl is just a decoration ~
I don't even use the owl because I have a horse to take me to each village.
But I can say that the owl is cute xD

i hardly use the owl O___O i only have the 1st tunnel but i only use it sometimes when i dont feel like going through the forest but i like going through the moutains to get flowers and stuff

I like to use the owl when I'm in a hurry, like festival days. I do it a lot on Cooking Festival days; I forage part of the mountain, use to owl to get to the other part, then climb on the other side until the summit, where the mayors are waiting for me.

In my first file I've bought an owl. The owl is cute but I didn't use it very often. But what I hated most: After I'd bought the owl Enrique and Raul sold owl food every. This decreases the chance to get an item you need ( like rice, flour or oil).
So in my second file I didn't buy the owl.

I... use the thing constantly... I can't stand foraging with my horse, getting off, foraging the area, going back, getting back on the horse, riding to the next area, repeat. I just run through all the areas, reach the summit, and ride my owl to Bluebell (living in Konohana now). Then I do my Bluebell things, and head back to the mountain, foraging on the Bluebell side to reach the summit this time--then taking the owl home.

Once I get the tunnel I'll probably still occasionally use it, though maybe not. I'll see.

I never use the owl. I just ride my horse because I have requests for both villiages and items for them in my cart. So I don't need it, really.

I'm in Year 5, and I haven't bought the Owl. I've got other things to spend my money on, and I don't like the thought of stranding my horse and cart at the summit of the bloody mountain. XP ESPECIALLY while I'm foraging. (I like to stuff things in the cart as I go.)

You don't even need the owl at all. I've used it, like, once, just to see what it would do. It'll take you to either town you want if you're at the top of the mountain, but not when it's raining/bad weather.
Like the others have said, if I'm in the mountain, I'm most likely foraging and go through the whole mountain.
AND I'm also on my horse all the time, and if I ride my owl down, my horse is still stuck at the top, and when running up the mountain without a horse just feels like it takes FOREVERRRR....... so I don't use the owl at all ^^

In my first file, I used the horse and cart a lot, so the owl wasn't used so much - because, like Keera and others have said, I hated to strand my horse behind.

But in my second file, I haven't been using the horse and cart at all, because I wanted to have maximum chance of triggering random events (like the bear events and wild animal gifts and meeting Dirk/Oracle/Alisa, etc) as soon as they became available. Plus I also hate jumping off the horse, foraging, then having to get back to where I left the horse again before I can continue on.

So in my second file, I've been using the owl just like Angelic said. I run up the mountain foraging everything, use the owl to take me down to the opposite town, where I sell stuff, talk to people, etc, and then I run up the other half of the mountain, foraging everything again, and then take the owl back down to home. It's worked pretty well for me so far. True, rainy days are a bit more hassle and inventory requires me to be a bit more careful about what I carry, but I get by. ^_^

When I'm foraging on the mountain, I go up the Bluebell side, fly down to Konohana and check the message board, then go back up the Konohana side and fly back to Bluebell. So, I got the owl as soon as possible, and now I hate it when it rains.
