Ushi No Tane - Harvest Moon

There are some random things that have caught my eye over my time playing ToTT, and I decided we should have a place to talk about them. Sorry if this is already up. If it was, I didn't see it.
SO, to start us off, here's something I have definately noticed.

Sometimes the villagers are inconsistant with what they say. Here is three examples.

(You live in Konohana, entered the cooking festival, and won)
Rutger: Too bad you didn't win...

(If you talk to Dirk while he's still on delivery during his date times)
Dirk: What am I doing here? I'm on delivery, of course! Sorry I'm kind of in a hurry, so talk to you later! (Two seconds later) Hey, do you wanna go for a walk with me, (name)?

(If you propose to Reina while she's at the Goddess Pond)
Reina: W-wait a second, buster! This isn't the place. We need somewhere to talk NOW.
(You'd then still be at the spring, even though Reina just said that it wasn't the place.)

Well, there you have it! If you've seen any more inconsistancies in what villagers say, or anything else that's interesting that's caught your eye, please let me know!

Its really funny how... I dont remember I guess Ash or Cam or WELL someone in bluebell at least says that its a beautiful/sunny day even though its raining Its not that bad but somehow it is always bugging the « Puppy Doodoo » out of me

That's happened to me too! For both of them actually...

Cam: The weather's been so nice lately. (Rain rain rain)
Ash: Great weather today! (Rain rain rain)

I think what happens is that if you date them outside they don't realize it's raining and go with a normal date chat.

I also found two more!

(Hiro's green flower chat- female character)
Hiro: Oh, (name), don't you think that Kana is a remarkable fellow? A genuine man's man... (Didn't come out the way it did in his head, I suppose.)

(Cam's blue flower chat- female character)
Cam: Have you ever tried one of Laney's desserts? I think they're really good...
(Meanwhile, Cam dislikes ALL desserts, so the chances of him thinking Laney's desserts are good are pretty low.)

This isn't a chat inconsistency but I always found it a bit... strange. If your owl is on the ground and you jump on it, the owl will keep on hooting and you'll continue to jump on it like it was a trampoline, and eventually you'll hear the whistle sound effect and then the victory sound effect and then the owl moves away and you drop back to the ground. Like... wth?

^Thatttt. And the fact that it isn't even hurt. o-o

Sometimes Cam says it's a beautiful, sunny day even though it's raining, but that's already been said.

It happen when I first played this game
in year 1 I was entered the "Dog Contest"
Rutger said "The Winner is Ren (My Name) "
But Georgia Go forward and happy like she is the winner
What The!!

After the festival end and I talk to Rutger He said "Too bad you didn't win today"
But...but you say I won before Rutger.

Oh and if you talk to Ina she'll sometimes say "Drop by the Town Hall to see me sometime.", and you're like already in the Town Hall.

Dirk also has a glitch, when you talk to him in Konohana he says.
"Hey <how you're spouse calls you>, I'm a little busy talk to you later."

Yeeaaahh! The same goes for me!
You said I won, Rudger! What do you have to be so #$%&*!!!

Maybe all of it just to make the game simpler, well it's just a guess

Not all people think rainy weather is bad ;P
But I still think they didn't mean to say that the weather was nice because of the rain, though (sadly)

jimjimmynie- LOL! Actually, whenever I do that, I half expect the Harvest Goddess to go "Da da da da! You've jumped on your owl for the (insert number here) time! Congratulations!"

And I'm pretty sure Ina ONLY says to come see her in town hall if she's in town hall. Strange...

Cherry Blossom- Cam's the worst at weather reports. My sister's game, he said, "The weather's been so unpredicable lately..." However, it had been sunny or half-day rainy for the past 42 days, so predicting it really wasn't too hard. Oh, Cam. Working outside must do things to one's weather thoughts.

Ru-Ne-Ni-Chaan and Empress_Girl- I've heard of this before. I think it's a glitch where if you enter and win (in year 1 at least,) everyone swears that someone else won, even though your name was announced and everyone except for Diego and Enrique were there to hear it.

imnotabanana- Really? I'll have to test this out on my sister's game (she's married to Ash. I can't decide yet!)

Greenfly11- I've noticed that people only comment on rain if the date is inside, so I think that's why.

OKEE DOKEE! New thing I've noticed!

You are (either one or two, i forget) flowers with Reina, and she is in her research area.

Reina: Sometimes I prefer the company of plants to people.

(You've just lost the cooking festival)
Reina: Sometimes I prefer the company of plants to people.

(You participated in any other festival)
Reina: Sometimes I prefer the company of plants to people.

(Any normal day)
Reina: Sometimes I prefer the company of plants to people.

Basically, no matter what time it is, what day it is, or what's going on, Reina will inform you that she prefers the company of plants to people.

If you're at half stamina, and talk to Hiro when he's not working, he'll say you look tired and need to rest (If if you're about to faint he'll demand to let Ayame have a look at you). He will not comment on your stamina when he's working in the clinic of all things (Ayame also will not comment while working). Also, if it's during his date time, he'll happily drag you off on a date in the same conversation ">.>

Also, it's probably just translation errors, but Hiro has flip flopped between present and past tense when talking of his parents, making them sound dead on occasion ">.>

Kana announced that before the Summer gets too hot, he need to clean his house. It was Spring. Whatever, Bro.

During winter, I'd check the weather, and it would say
"It'll be sunny in the morning, but cloudy later with a chance of rain"
It snows instead of rain though

Angelic- True... that's happened to me before.
(Note: This is paraphrased for enjoyment reasons. This is not what they really say.)
Me: Oh... I'm about to pass out. Hi Ayame!
Ayame: (Working) Hi! You look totally fine to me!
Me: ...kay... (walks upstairs) Hi Hiro!
Hiro: Erin! You look really sick! Have Ayame look at you NOW!
LOL nevermind let's go on a date instead!

Here's how it really goes down.


Sweetandsourpal- Happens to me all the time!

NEXT thing! I personally find this one to be funny.

Villagers are lazy. They often start work later than they are supposed to. All villagers stand around their houses until it is time to work (usually 10 AM.) Once it is 10 AM, they will then BEGIN to walk to their station. The amout of time they waste varies though. Raul and Diego, for example, stand close to their posts, so they are only about 5 minutes late. Rutger, however, likes to stare at a potted plant before his post, and then takes half an hour to walk a couple of feet to his post (something that would definately get him fired if he wasn't his own boss.)
Not only this, but villagers stop working EXACTLY when they are supposed to. They also decided, "Hey! Let's just not work if it's going to rain all day!"
See how lazy they are?

The one exception to that is Cam -- who, logically, is the only one who should not work on a full-rainy day. Since he has a roof-less flower stand. Outside.
(The only person who works on a full-rainy day is also the only one who would suffer from the rain. )
