I always go to the mountain every day to hand fish and collect wild plants... And I also forget to give Ash anything! When I do remember, I give him things like... Fish, mint, bugs... The stuff I find! I need to know if I'm giving him the right gifts, and if FP goes down when you forget to give him gifts!

First you can tell how much Ash likes you by how many flowers on his dialog box are bloomed. When you talk to Ash you will see a vine of flowers on the left side of the dialog box. The lowest level is one bloomed white flower. After a second flower blooms for Ash the flowers will become purple. Each time another flower blooms the color will change again. The more flowers you have bloomed the more Ash likes your character.

Don't bother giving Ash fish. He is not a big fan of any type of fish. He is neutral to mint as well. There are some types of bugs he likes but only a few specific kinds:

If you have a cow you can cook her Milk in the Pot to make Hot Milk. That is a gift he likes. That's what I do anyways.

You do not lose affection if you stop giving gifts. However you can lose affection if you ignore a person entirely:

For now, AnimeMagic, I suggest just talking to Ash everyday, since doing this will prevent him from losing affection with you. Start working on obtaining whichever item(s) are easiest for you to find, manufacture, or produce. Once you've fallen into your comfort zone, you can restart properly giving presents to Ash.

Yes, you need to find his favorite items and give them to him. My advice is to get yourself settled in your farm, and once you do start wooing the person of your choosing. For Ash, you should give him Hot Milk, he likes it and it is VERY easy to make (pot+milk). Every person in game has items them like and dislike.

Black eggs from the silkie chickens are good too, albeit you don't get them until year 2.

I buy Doria in Howard's cafe and give it to Ash xD
or I give him Jersey Milk.

Another way is just talking to him everyday but he's friendship levels won't go higher quickly.

I have never been lucky enough to find Doria at Howard's but that is Ash's fave but he also likes potato salad, baked yam, and spotted pond frogs :heart:

Hmmm? ^ I had no idea Doria was sold in Howard's cafe ...... I thought it was the Gratin that was sold there. I just made Doria myself after stocking up on flour and rice. The hot milk was super easy, too. Although the random store inventories make it hard to coordinate freshness for both flour and rice when I made the Doria......

Haha:) I'm in a toss-up between Cam, Ash and Hiro.
I live in konohana so I collect my (1) egg and (1) milk and make fried egg and hot milk, then I give the Fried Egg to Hiro, visit peoples in Kono, check the board then forage the mountain, get mint/lavender/flower and give the flower to Cam and the Hot Milk to Ash. I got all three of the boys up to a blue flower so far:DD And I'm thinking since only two of them have reverse proposals (Hiro and Ash) I think Imma drop Cam and just see which of the guys proposes to ME first. (But I hope it's Hiro;)

Ash's profile on the index page says that you have to make Doria yourself since Howard won't sell it. Howard sells Stew, Gratin and Lasagna in the Winter which all look like Doria.

I've actually given very few gifts to people, usually I give a gift if I need to get something out of my rucksack. Ash quickly got up to yellow flower by visiting him every day and I also did all of his requests.

Why don't you do your meet and greet in each village every other day if you need foraging time (alternate villages)?

That's a very good tip.

Finding easy love gifts can be very difficult, especially at the beginning of the game. I generally start by giving flowers, insects, and animal products that certain bachelor(ettes) love. Just talking to them every day will raise their friendship!
