My question is I just bought a Harvest Moon 1 for gameboy, and I read that it saves automatically, but I have tried starting a game twice, and it hasn't saved at all, even after a few days of gameplay. Does this mean that my save battery is dead? Or is something else wrong?

(Also I wasn't sure where the right place to post this was seeing how HM1 has no section)

The save battery is most likely dead. But being that it is an old GB game, you can pop it open and replace the battery if you're feeling up to it.
