Mila hun, I'm pretty sure that fish was a troll ;3 He/she wanted to start a racial flame war. Why else would someone post something like that that will obviously start a fight, and under a fishy account so if they do have an account, it won't get hurt. @LittleBoss: Ya know, you kinda said what I've been wanting to XD Just a few grammatical fixes and that post would have been perfect :3

I'm not very internet-savvy. It's just I actually know quite a few people who don't like him because of his darker skin, so I wasn't surprised to see someone writing that. Like some of the fan art has his skin (and Celka's) about four shades lighter. I don't get it, they both look so much weirder that way! @freakling: agreed! although I've never actually disliked any bachelor, there were just some that I knew right off the bat I didn't want to marry. Like Pierre. Or Gourmet. Or Kappa. Or Won.

Amir actually is pretty cool looking!!! And, no racism intended on my Celka comment. I just think together it looks unnatural.

freakling wrote: Actually, I couldn't imagine Amir/Celka with fair skin oO Fair skin and white hair/eyebrows and generally clothes? [for Amir] That would look so, so... Plain and dull...
I think the word you're looking for is albino ;P Mila wrote: Lol, whoops! I'm not very internet-savvy. @freakling: agreed! although I've never actually disliked any bachelor, there were just some that I knew right off the bat I didn't want to marry. Like Pierre. Or Gourmet. Or Kappa. Or Won. LOL It's ok I can tell though cause others have just said 'a bit lighter skin' saying they just don't like their dark mocha skin. Which is fine, but outright saying you want him "white" [instead of Arab] is a hugely racist comment and a total troll move. That's the difference. I know a black girl who hates dark skin. It's not a race thing, it's just a preference. Where as outright saying you prefer a race over another like that is racist. Make sense? Same here. I almost never actually dislike or hate a character. It's ether I love them, I like them, or they're meh. I can't really think of a character(in HM) that I outright hated or really didn't like. @Juliuslove<3<3<3: I have to ask though, he's got the same skin tone and hair color as Amir. Is it how long his hair is that bugs you? Cause if it's just the color combo, Amir should bug you too.

I love the dark skin + light blue hair combo, it reminds me of Tohya from Haruka 4... though in general I like the dark skin-dark hair combo best
I think the side braid might throw more people off? It looks girly or something? I can think of other characters with long braided hair that were pretty darned manly though.

I LOVE white/silver hair and the dark skin is a lovely contrast.(although now that I think about it, an albino character would be cool) and wow is that guy pretty! :O Maybe. But I can also think of characters with long braided hair that are uber badass. I mean, hello, old Chinese martial arts masters have long silver hair in a braid. And they're ANYTHING but girly. They're awsome, and so is Celka!>3

I will probably walk on thin ice here but the thing that's kinda throwing me off from Celka is his hair-line - his hair are looking strangely on the spot when forehead meet with hair, I don't know how to say it... Like his bangs are lifted too high? Don't kill me /flameshield on @Taniyama Mai Maybe not really albino but everything would look strange and boring.. And they would probably look kinda like walking white-wall .... At least Amir.

I actually can't see him with anything else EXCEPT for a braid. Like if his hair were shorter, or just falling down his back (actually, if it was just falling down his back, that could look really cool too...well, anyway) that would look a little awkward. Like imagine Celka with a buzzcut. Or Rob's haircut. Or Allen's haircut. Or even Sengoku's. It would just look...off. And they can't have two Arab guys with ponytails, that would be highly unoriginal, so I guess they decided to go for a braid instead. I really like it, actually, but I can totally understand why someone wouldn't.
And that's so true, I LOVE the Harvest King's braid and appearance. I think he just looks more stern, facially, while Celka looks softer and more pleasant. That's what maybe makes him look more feminine to other people. I like that, though.

I do agree, it does look weird. I would never say I disliked a character for that though. Most times I'm looking at the character's eyes more than anything ;P That's only if s/he was wearing white too. If they were wearing really bright and crazy colors I bet it would make up for it.(plus they'd have to have some sort of story for it and I think it would add something cool to the game) I doubt it'll ever happen though. That's just the butlery thing that they do~ ya know...I wonder what name he'll get. I wonder if there's a stereotypical butlery name in Arabic...(kinda like Sebastian in English but in Arabic)

There probably is, since it's a rich country and therefore I'm assuming a good number of the population would have a maid/butler. It would tick me off hardcore if they really changed his name, though. I've gotten so used to saying/writing Celka that it would throw me off completely if they Americanized his name and called him "Francis" or "Walter" or something like that. Not like I think they will, since Amir's name is Arabic, but...
And Celka is also supposed to be very elegant, and braids are generally signs of a well-kept, noble individual. Like all the Russian princesses had their hair in braids. And Amir is always studying, from what I remember, so it would make sense for his hair to be pulled back. All in all I agree with you, freakling, they way they designed them was very practical! :3

I actually did double-take when I saw Amir's japanese name was Schmidt oO It sounded so German it was weird.... Good that they actually changed it... Well, I would live with it but still.... @Taniyama Mai Yea, true but still it kinda put me off :< I guess I will satisfy myself with Amir and leave Celka to you guys Oh, btw. I found funny art - wonder what Celka is saying [he looks kinda horrified]
