So what's the time system like in this game? Is it the same as ToTT or does it move more slowly or quickly?

I found the amount of time in ToTT to be plenty to get things done in a day. I know some people disagreed, but I enjoyed it.

Anyone have any qualms with the timing system in ANB?

the only reason we could get stuff done was because there was so little to do! now we have a proper mine we dont need to shell out 2 million bits for!

I have to disagree with the "little to do" part. There was plenty for me to do between taking care of both farms and foraging and fishing.

I am glad to have a real mine back, but I wasn't THAT disappointed about it in ToTT.

Sometimes it feels like it moves slowly, and other times (like if you try to talk to everyone, take care of tons of animals, forage the entire mountain etc) it feels like it moves really quickly. I kind of like it that way.

I don't think it's any faster than ToTT's clock, but it seems like there's more to do.

Nah, time doesn't stop at all in GrB--I always have to look for something to read or talk to so I can take a short pause from anything.

I just like time stopping because I can take quick breaks and it just makes me feel easier instead of being rushed trying to do things.

No, time keeps a-tickin'.
There is quite a bit to do, especially since you can customize your farm and make it quite big. But there is never really TOO much to do. I tend to go to bed at 5pm most days and that's only if I wait to water my crops a second time. The longest time sink is either lots of animals or foraging since there is quite a long distance to run even if you just do a quick check of all 3 wilderness regions.

I like when the time doesn't stop inside the buildings. At least you may see how everyone go to bed or leave the house :P In GrB and ToTT they never were sleeping, but in ANB they do. Sorry, I just like small, juicy elements of this game :)

Yeah, 1 minute Game time is 1 second real time, but it doesn't really feel like it's passing that quickly as you play. Not unless you have too many animals and crops as it's hard to keep on top of that. There are days when I don't bother brushing my animals. :shifty:

The only time that time goes too slowly is when you go to Animal Land and there's nothing to do but look after your animals.

You can always pause the game by opening up the menu for your tools or bag/save, it helps if your wanting to take a drink/snack in real life but you don't want to miss that precious time.

There are always things to do, collect and people to talk to as it's quite hard to do it all in game time. You have to find your priorities, especially when you get all the people moved into the village. They're a few people I just ignore and don't talk to and it doesn't make that much difference.
