As far as I know, you can customize and upgrade your home

You can only customize the interior wallpaper, flooring, and furniture from built sets. You can't customize its interior layout or its exterior.

You also get a double bed upgrade, a vase and you get trophies in your house after winning contests.

The only thing you can't change is the colour of the curtains, it's always green which is kind of annoying when you want to have all one colour, like I do.
