I wish the font didn't look like it was bolded everywhere. It feels too stoic for such a carefree game.

Will the localization feature Inari's kid automatically in it or do you still need to update? Tbqh, I preferred not having a kid with Inari. It's interesting.

We have no idea. XSEED has not said whether or not we are getting the updates on the release or if they are going to patch them in.

Just gonna add...
Spoiler:
Isn't it possible to avoid having a kid with any of them though? Just by avoiding triggering your spouse's event. I can't remember the house upgrade requirements if there's an upgrade between the marriage size one and the size needed for kids, or if it's the same upgrade, sorry... but if it's not the same upgrade, you could easily just not upgrade it, too.

Spoiler:
it took me a whole in-game year (that i slept through) to upgrade the stupid bed because it literally requires you to raise up a sheep to make it produce a product that you can only get by force-feeding it tons of treats. it's easier to NOT have a kid lmao. i'm assuming it's the same for inari.
that's way easier than avoiding triggering that spouse event. the spouse event might even be automatic after a point lol

There's a new entry with a sad surprise on the bottom today.

Well, some good/cute news, as this entry is pet-focused. Inari is named Inari in the localization. Pets are awesome, which we knew. XSEED ships themselves and the purple bushie  and they're willing to do inhuman things to test the game and bring us screenshots.

But there won't be any Hamtaro. And seeing as Cheburashka is supposed to be even more of an iffy rights issue than Hamtaro was, we probably won't be getting that particular bit of DLC either. Maybe? I know one of the problems with Hamtaro was that the character was voiced, sounds like they ran into some kind of disinterest with the likeness rights as well? That's been a problem in a few games where they have to strip things out because a rights holder is vehemently against sharing their creations outside of Japan.

Regrets to everyone who wanted Hamtaro. Looks like XSEED did their best.
GemiMini wrote:I lol'ed @ Ludus being the localization staff's waif though.
I seem to misunderstand what people say on this forum way too often. When I read that, I wondered why the heck XSEED would consider Ludus, the most visibly muscular of all the bachelors, to be the waif of the game. (I would have called Yuzuki the 'waif' but I heard he's actually really strong because of metal-smithing or something?)

I had to go to the post itself and see a U stuck on the end to get it. -___-

Does that mean that Ludus was the team's collective favourite? I wonder why...

Yeah that was a typo. Whoops! Sorry for confusing you!

Ludus seems pretty popular though. I think he as a character has a pretty wide appeal, with his design and the fact that he seems like a nice guy, though I haven't experienced what his personality is like in person.

Is it just me or the font spacing looks better now? Still not a fan of the actual font though, but it being readable is good enough.

I think the team actually likes Ludus a lot haha. I don't remember it verbatim, but I think I read them say lots of nice things about Ludus in the blogs/twitter

Any posts yet on if the multiplayer is region locked or not? That's something about the last game that really ticked me off.

I just hope all the dlc japan has out will be available on the cart or at launch in the store

They haven't said. I'll be pissed if it is region locked again after the SoS deadness and the fact that the MP in 3oT specifically seems geared to avoid "rudeness" (which can sometimes just be cultural differences).

I am burning with curiosity about more details about what we are getting on the cart and initial download file now that we already know we can't have Hamtaro.

Having it region locked again is going to suck. It hurts my heart that I couldn't help the EU players in SoS.

I don't mind; it was my own fault anyway (it was obvious after I saw the 'u' what you meant, I should have got it right off.) and it was funny, wondering why on earth XSEED would consider Ludus to be a waif. I was wondering if maybe he's really delicate, in-game, or something...like having super sensitive feelings or something, lol. ("I can't...*hic*...believe...*sob*...you don't like the birdhouse I made for you!"...*dissolves into an all-out crying fit* Yep, I was picturing something like that.)

I wish some of the tumblr bloggers I follow had an interest in Ludus/Yuzuki. Everyone seems to be into the Westown boys, mainly Ford, but some Wayne, too. I also like those two but haven't seen much about what Yuzuki and especially Ludus say and do in the game. It's been almost all Ford, who seems hilarious. :)

It looks the same to me, but I haven't been paying very close attention. I still think it looks very ugly...harsh. But I'm pretty sure I'll just get used to it as I play. I hope so, anyway. :)

I heard that Japanese players didn't like foreigners on MP because they came, gave only fodder or twigs or etc, then left without tending any animals or crops. (Basically just swooping in to snag whatever gift was up for offer.) NO idea if that's true, though, as I never played MP (except with myself, lol, and I was always a good guest to me.) If it's true, that IS really bad manners, and I can't blame them for not wanting that. If it's true. :)

I heard the same thing, probably from the same person (minus the crops bit, ANB only had animals). But that's not what I'm talking about when I say "cultural differences", for the record. NA players tend to talk less, for one. Or might idle/sightsee for longer. The only equitable experience I have is on Animal Crossing's Island tour (And being a FFXI veteran,I guess? ) and you can sometimes tell the country of origin just by how a character behaves (without talking).

Anyway, the MP in this game rewards you for trading those so-called useless items to an NPC rock for a random semi-valuable item. Which is what I meant by them "fixing" that problem.

I know exactly how I feel about the attitude of shutting other people out. I hate it. I only play Multiplayer with the intention of helping other people. It is rare that I'll accept a beneficial session without trading something of equal or greater value or a vow to pay it forward.

I am beyond fine with 1 out of 10 people showing up and snagging a gift without doing anything. I'm fine with 10 out of 10 doing it. What gets my goat is having to arrange trades through weird alternate methods (like forums) because MP is just that dead. Sometimes other people can leave you hanging for an awfully long time without meaning to. I really prefer live chat if you have to arrange a trade, but it is tooth and nail getting other people to use it. Or even the same program.

Eh, enough dithering. Remember to hoard Coconuts. End of story.
