How do you destroy/dig up grass?

So I sorta just threw down a pack of grass seeds without really thinking of it the first spring and now, come fall, I'm actually planning out and structuring my field. So I'd like to get rid of the grass. However, I've tried my hoe, hammer, and even axe but I can't get it to go away. o.O How do I get rid of it??

wait until the grass grows in, cut it, then use your hoe on it.

that should do the trick. :D

Interesting....you would think you could just hoe it at any point, haha.

Oh well, let me get through a few more days and see if I can't make that work for me.

I swear, I've done it before. I've played this game for years. I just forgot, hahaha.
