I've just dug out my GBA and begun playing this cracker of a game again!
Unfortunately, one of my cows is persistently passing away everyday, so I have no choice but to sell and buy a new one...

Anyway, the point of this thread;
I'm pretty sure that I read or heard somewhere that if you add a heart to a new animal's name, it makes it's affection rate grow faster... Is this true or just an urban myth? I've done this with near enough all of my livestock so far, but only just begun questioning the legitimacy of it! :lol:

Any ideas please?

It's likely an urban legend. When I was playing FOMT, I remember I named one of my chickens with a heart in the name and it didn't seem to develop any differently from the rest of my chickens. Since all the producing animals are females anyway, I just kind of thought of the hearts and other symbols as a kind of bling. :)

That was my feeling... All of my current livestock features a heart at the end of its name, except the cow I've just bought... Let's see if it makes a difference! (I'm not keeping my hopes up!)
