How can I arrange my farm. I've had this game for years and I never really decorated it. Any ideas?

Decorate? Could you maybe explain further? You mean make crop patterns?

I've never heard of someone doing that beofre, i like the creativity

I generally just do rows or blocks of each crop, but I suppose you could always make a cool pattern with it.

This is a pretty cool design you could work with :] you could go further in depending on how many crops are have.

I never did too many crops, but I always put a pretty big animal pen right outside of the barn so that it would be easier to push them back in. I originally made it out of the wood, but it got... whatever you call it. Rotten? it doesn't really look rotten..... it got to where you couldn't pick them up. So I hammered away 3 places and put stones there instead, so that's my sort of gate.
And in the bottom left corner, I have a little "chicken pen" made out of branches
And right outside of the horse stable, I have a horse pen made with 2 rows of the fence stuff with rocks as a gate. (2 rows so the horse won't jump over)
And on the right side of the field I just plant a ton of grass.
Crops just go on the left side and wherever I can fit them in XD

this is my farm layout for spring year 3 in FoMT (which is the season i am headed into, though i have my plans for the entire year -- it pretty much looks the same but with different crops, haha). the holes in the middle of the second area of cabbages were just to help me count, and i forgot to fill them in at the end, so just ignore those.

as you can see... i don't really care about how pretty my farm looks. the only reason why i have multiple types of crops instead of just powering through the most profitable ones is so that i can have cooking ingredients (i started this game fairly slowly since i'm not foraging to make money, only farming, so i only just now have enough money that i feel comfortable planting -this- many seeds and then storing a lot of the crops for my own use).

the area of grass at top is for my cows ans sheep, though i never let them out so it's kind of pointless. the two areas of grass at the left side are for my chickens (i find it most efficient to put them in one pen, leave them out all the time, then stick them in the other pen before collecting their eggs from the first pen -- otherwise, i forget which chickens i have already picked up that day, and i end up accidentally picking up my chickens instead of their eggs). the grass to the right is just to cut so i have enough, haha.

i've seen people do cool checkerboard patterns and such with their crops. maybe you can try something like that if you want it to look nice?

I love decorating my farm

Half of my farm is usually grass, a lot of grass

The other half consists of crops for that season. Every thing is bordered with stone:)
