I'm in the swamp area. I've caught the electric eel, got the recipe from Ayu.
But if I go talk to Naoko she isn't talking about the last rival.
And I also don't get anything from Kazuma(treasure map).
And the catfish contest isn't going on either.

I've done the Straw Millionaire .
I've done the fishmonger dilemna
I've found Mizuki
I've done the Ayu Pop Star.

Some of the things to do, seem optional.
Is there something I'm missing to do before I can move on?

The treasure maps go in order as far as I know. You might check back at the Rapids and feed the fisherman to get his piece of it. The map is the next step in getting to the River King.
