Bleh, I'll bring Save The Homeland back up. It's my least favorite.
I really liked how you were on a quest throughout the game and that there were many different goals you could strive for, but I think the biggest downer is that everyone forget who you are at the end of the year. I gave Dia blueberries everyday until she was my best friend, hoping that I would get a Blue Feather, but no. No blue feather. No marriage. And come Spring 1st? No friends. Biggest let down ever.
I actually liked DS, despite the glitches, just because I enjoy running around and finding lots of Sprites. I stopped just short of 60 though and opted for Magical Melody. I'll admit the game was frustrating and impossible at first, not to mention the layout is utterly confusing at first, but once you get the layout down (which is probably the biggest part) it's a good game. Gotta love the many house upgrades, furniture choices, and ability to customize your house. Big plus for me. So far, it's the only Harvest Moon game I haven't totally lost interest in after getting married. It's also the first game I've felt like I could try to beat it because it wasn't so ridiculously hard or tedious and most of the Notes give you some sort of clue as to how to get them by the name.
Other than that though, possibly one of my all time favorites is FoMT. I've never found so much joy in enslaving Sprites to water my ridiculously huge plot of free land (which after AP & MM is wondrous). MFoMT got stolen u__u, probably try to find it online for Christmas. And I wanted to play AWL again, but that's lost too. I feel like I need to lock all my HM games up. D: It's ridiculous! I'm probably going to try to get back into AP, but I found the game too easy. :T I'll admit, wooing took awhile, but it wasn't hard. Neither was making money once you figured it out. Still, gotta love all the things to do and a working family. <3

Hmm. IoH I suppose because it was the quickest game that I stopped playing/pretty much never played again.
I think I like all the other games mostly... except the Wii ones really bug me too. Like BIG time. And the characters in BtN/(M)FoMT, but that's only cause of the characters/my prior knowledge of 64 characters making me hate MT characters. Even though BtN/(M)FoMT are still quite good.

I don't know why everyone says IoH. : / In that one or SI I never even noticed or bothered with the "sun system." lol Didn't really need too.
The whole Wonderfuls thing to upgrade tools is the only thing that bothered me.. But still, I thought they were cute games.
I've never hated any of the games, although the older ones were my fav! (HM64)
But.. I just couldn't ever get into ToT or AP.. >.< I think it was the way the characters looked.. (All bubble-headed.. lol) or the map was all weird.. I donno. Still hoping someday I will be able to play them though.

The only two games I never did care for was HM:DS, that was mostly due to the fact of all the glitches in the game, and I didn't care for IoH. The only reason I didn't like IoH was because of tedius task of getting people to come to your island. AND then you had to keep ties with them or else they would leave. That's the only reason I didn't care for IoH.

Out of all the HM games I've played.. probably IoH. I never bought it, but from what I've played I didn't like it the most. It's still a pretty good game, just not my favourite. HM:DS is actually probably one of my favourite HM games, but I can see why so many people hate it. The glitches were "FFFFF" until they fixed most of them in Cute and the newer versions, so once you do have an unglitched version it's actually nice. I guess I liked it quite a bit as well considering the two other HM games I owned before I bought it were FoMT and AWL, so it felt very familiar to me. But yeah, IoH I suppose was just kind of weak. The crop system was a bit annoying, the controls were awful, anddd yeah.
Hmm. Probably DS. It was my first Harvest Moon game, so there's an amount of fondness for it because of that, but I only ever managed to get married one, thanks to the sprite requirement, and it was really boring after marriage anyway.
I always liked Rune Factory, and I've really gotten into Rune Factory Frontier recently. Going from the beautiful RFF graphics to the bubble-headed ToT ones made me laugh a bit. But I really liked ToT, mostly because of the characters and the fact that making money wasn't entirely impossible like it was in DS (at least for me). I got AWL a while ago, but I couldn't figure it out, so it's probably collecting dust somewhere. One of these days when I'm bored, I'll break it out again, figure it out, and get addicted.
