Why marrying Jamie ends you

Think about it:

Jamie's gender changes depending on who you play as. Imagine marrying She-Jamie when you play as a boy, girl get pragnent and babby formed and whatnot.

Now imagine marrying He-Jamie in a girl file after that, and remembering the time your husband got pregnant. And always wondering.

Awwwwkward.

They could get around this in a number of conspicuous ways: No baby, which would remove the purpose of the pregnancy-related notes; the baby is delivered to you by the Goddess or something, which would call into question why He-Jamie can't knock up the girl farmer or why the boy farmer can't knock up She-Jamie, or if Jamie is infertile or shooting blanks (or why it only happens like this for marrying Jamie); or on the boy file, the farmer is still the one who gets pregnant, which would bring up the question of why it can't happen for the bachelors when you play as a girl.

Then again, you can get knocked up by the Kappa in MFoMT and still have a human baby somehow, so...

Maybe it's not that Jamie switches genders, but is actually a hermaphrodite. I read somewhere that they can't have kids (could be totally wrong Idk). If so maybe that's it.

It's more likely because the rival-farm aspect would be ruined if you marry him/her. With children and stuff there could always be workarounds despite the 'how is babby formed' problems

Yeah I agree with Nurse Fin. It most likely has nothing to do with Jamie's character or the fact he/she can switch genders and it most likely connected to game play reasons.

If you're married to Jamie they couldn't really keep him/her acting the same way when it came to festivals, so all that dialog would have to change. It also wouldn't make sense if the rival feature was still in effect if Jamie lived on your farm. Plus the last scene where you get 99 notes also would have to be altered at least somewhat. So to me it seems like they decided it would be easier to simply not make any changes and just not let you continue into married life with Jamie.

tbh, I don't mean this in a mean way at all, but you should return that sense of humor you were given and ask for a refund. You just sound cranky, must be a defective product.

This is a pretty pointless topic with an obvious answer. And to be honest whether you were kidding or not this can hardly even be classified as a joke. All you did was point out some facts about Jamie and how he/she changes gender then listed ways you could have a baby.

Don't get all fussy because your attempt to be funny failed. Good for you for trying to do something funny but it was a swing and miss. There was almost no humor to be found in your post and you need to accept that and not try to blame the rest of forum for not seeing it your way.
