Ok, I'm a little scared of the child missing glitch problem. I'm planning on marrying Wizard and having a Romantic older daughter and a Quiet younger son, and I'd like to know if there's any way to avoid the glitch, or if it happens, get my kid(s) back, 'cause I'm freaking out the more I think of it, and would like some closer please.

I believe my daughter was Romantic, but she was with Luna, so I can't remember if that matters. The glitch never happened to me.

I would just save in 2 slots so that you can make sure you have an uncorrupted file just in case. The glitch happens at the school house, right? You could just save every time before you go there.

(Sorry, pretty fuzzy on the glitch reqs at the moment...)

Ok, there's a FAQ for it, and it should be able to help you. It tells of things like how to prevent it, what you can do if you have it, and things like rumors that MIGHT work, but might not.
