Okay, so I'm on Fall 6th and when I went to bed the Goddess told me the vineyard was saved. The next day I waited on my farm from 3:00 until midnight and Karen never showed up. She's at yellow heart (the Fogu guide said either yellow or pink heart). I tried to see if she was at the bar on the 7th and sure enough she was--there was also a cut-scene with her and Kai.

I'm still on Fall 6th (I didn't save that night in fear this would happen).

What am I doing wrong? =/

have you seen her dream sequence and her sprained ankle sequence?

if so, then probably nothing. there's an increasingly common glitch that makes it so kren never shows up to get her picture taken. i know that for me, it only seems to work on one of the four save files, so try another save file and see if that gets you anywhere.

I've seen her dream sequence (and got her out of the cellar), but not the sprained ankle. I'll try again on another file. Thanks for helping.

This is probably wrong, but could the scene Karen and Kai have established that they're going to marry?

Maybe that doesn't matter...and maybe it wasn't that scene. It's probably one of the things Nina suggested, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

yeah, you absolutey have to have the sprained ankle sequence, which can be a pain to trigger (since you have to walk all the way to the back of the vineyard to trigger it, and it often takes many tries to trigger). so try that and hope that your game isn't glitched!

what was the cutscene with her and kai, out of curiosity? i don't think i've ever had someone marry that early (and certainly not with that high of a heart level), but i guess it's possible. (i've had maria and harris marry in winter of year one at about the earliest, then it usualy seems to go popsie and grey in spring or early summer of year two, since there's some timed stuff with those events, but i guess it depends on if you befriend kai)

I find that a lot of people lose events over time as the cartridges deteriorate. I can't trigger Popuri's dream event on mine (which is frustrating, since she's my fave). I could see losing the sprained ankle or the picture opportunity, either of which would result in your problem.

I hope it works out.

(These cartridges are so old now, I feel like everyone has problems....someone should buy the game MIP and see if this still happens...ugh)

I'm not sure if the event with Kai was the marriage event. It was when you walk into the bar and Karen's kneeling in the middle of the room and Kai is next to her. Karen's drunk, calling him stupid and leaves. Then Kai said something about working harder. (I've never gotten Kai and Karen to marry, so I'm not sure what their marriage cut-scene is.)

I'll have to try again with another file since I just moved on. I'm hoping I can get her picture because I want to get a full album in one of my games.

I really wish they'd re-release the 64 version (and add a simple way of cooking and an easier way to get things out of your rucksack). I'd love it if they put it on the 3DS.

Well...you could always open the cartridge,take out the old battery,buy a new one online and when you get it solder it in

I think that's a Karen/Kai event, but the actual marriage scene IIRC is at the beach. I know that other couples have several events together, so I don't think you've missed out on Karen if you wanted to marry her. Maybe try playing a few days in without saving and see if you can trigger the event?

A 3DS remake of 64 would be just awesome. I don't see them porting it, though. If they could just re-do every single scene that would be fine with me. *_*

It depends on your friendship with the rival more than the bachelorette from what I can tell. I got Karen to pink within the first spring due to the dog glitch and started talking to Kai. I got the bar scene in early winter of the first year and they married like a week later. I was surprised they got married so fast o.O

Usually the order the rivals marry in my games are: Cliff/Ann (they are incredibly hard to keep apart srsly), Grey/Popuri, Karen/Kai, Maria/Harris, Elli/Jeff (uuuurgghhhh took forever!)

Yeah, I played through and am now in the middle of Summer year 2. Strangely as soon as I married Ann, all the other couples got married--one right after the other. (It was some stroke of luck I actually put all my animals in the field the day before my wedding with Ann otherwise I'm sure they'd all be dead.) So, if you're at a yellow or pink heart with another girl, does that mean their rival won't marry them?

I also wouldn't mind if they made an option to choose your gender if the remade it. (I'd LOVE to marry 64 Gray, Harris, and Rick! XD Heck, even the Kappa in this game is actually nice. lol)

And is it just me or are they releasing a lot of 64 games? (I guess I've only seen two: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Star Fox 64.)

No, if you're already married they should get married. If you are unmarried and they're at pink, I think they won't get married...

Now that we have virtual consoles on basically every single console, there are definitely a lot of 64 games floating around. However, Natsume has been being prodded to re-release for the VC for a while now and has stated again and again that it simply can't happen. So basically we need Marvelous to want to re-make or re-release it on their own.

I wasn't married and they were all at yellow heart (well except Maria, but she was already married, and Ann who was at pink). So, when I married Ann, all the other guys got together.
