I really wished I would have looked into ToTT much more. Just caught up in the hype.

I'm in late Winter but I just...haven't been able to pick it back up. I definetely got caught up in the ToTT hype too. I wasn't interested in at all at first, but I wanted to get back into HM and it turned out that right when I wanted to do that, ToTT was supposed to come out the next month.

I feel the exact same way.
I just...can't bring myself to pick it back up, but I feel like I want to...
Yeah, a lot of people liked it, and that's cool, but I feel I got swept up in the hype.
Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Yup, I saw the farm customization video and.... in my opinion at least, it screamed MySims. Not good. I hope it is good though, I really do. I'm just not going to gets my hopes up to high.

Instead of new stuff I think maybe Natsume should have some old stuff. Like, why not take SNES and totally upgrade it for the DS? Redraw the characters- and maybe add some new ones. Like guys-, add new animals and crops, add new festivals, but still the core game. I would LOVE that.

I know how you feel, I also got into the hype of all of it. It was good for the first 2 seasons, but now I can't get back into it, I try but I just can't :(

I'd love that too. But no more 5:00pm cut off for shipping and only being able to hold one thing at a time XD.

I doubt that will happen though. They already reused the SNES characters so I don't know if they'd make another new game about them. They seem to be focusing on new characters now.

I know how you feel man. To be honest i've been on Team Retro HM for a long time. HM:DS/C had to much collecting/gathering for me. Then SI was okay for me. But after that it was just a devaster D: I actually found myself actually trying to force myself to play the games due to my love for the series. GrB I didn't like so much it was just...too different for me. Jumping, hand fishing, bugs and stuff. Then ToTT elaborated on it more. I was looking at my BtN disc and looked at my DS all like "What happened?! D8>" I like different and new features but I just felt like it was honestly getting ridiculous. Is it me or is HM getting really gimmicky? I do feel a little pessimistic for this game to seeing how for me the newer HM games haven't been so...wonderful anymore. But if this game is honestly trying to go back to roots and try and kinda go back to good old times i'm excited for it! But at the same time I feel like it's not the case. I'm a little 50/50 on it. I really want to see a gameplay video trailer to really seal the deal on my excitement level of the game. But knowing me i'd end up getting the game regardless to show my support and give it a chance so I don't seem like a jerkity jerk. I mean gotta atleast give the game a try right?

Exactly. It was good at first, but then...ugh, I dunno.

But still have high hopes for this game.
Videos of the gameplay are coming out, and it's starting to shed light on my hope. It looks really awesome

I have high hopes for this game too. Like I've said before on other threads for this game, I didn't really like it when I first saw it. But now that I've let it sink in and stuff I'm really liking it. The game looks like it will hold well on the 3DS, and I'm really excited for it now.

Same here.
I did like it when I first saw it, I just didn't like the fact that it was for the 3DS. I have one, and it's good and all, but... I don't know.
But now, I think it definitely looks good on the 3DS platform.
This game gives a kind of successful vibe if you ask me :wink:

lol I don't even understand why everybody is hating on the 3DS. I know that it's basically just the DS with 3D, but the Game Boy Color did pretty well and no one (as far as I know) got all preppy and upset that it was around.

But yeah the only thing I really have against this game so far is the characters. They seem somewhat....bland. But ToTT's characters (aside from HOWARD~) were somehwat bland as well. We will ever really know just how great the characters are until we see them in-game though, so it's not stopping me from being pumped for the game! X3

Yes, I'll have to agree with you about ToTT, though. Most of the characters (of course, make an exception for Howard!) we're really bland.
But who knows? So far, I just know the look awesome

I'm doing the same thing I did for ToTT, I'm keeping my hopes down and preparing for the worst. That might be why I'm like ToTT more, I was worried I was going to hate it and I was going to be so dissappointed that I was pleasantly surprised. I still think DS was probably the last good HM, and that's kind of pushing it. I wish they'd focus more on farming again like they used to. I feel like they're trying too hard to appeal to other audiances instead of they're loyal fans, but that's just me. I'm sure I'll still wind up buying it.

Lol and the Gameboy Advanced Sp was just the gameboy advanced with the ability to make the screen lighter. I know I will get a 3DS soon, I mean it's the new generation. I just want to wait just in case Nintendo brings out a newer model. I waited for the DS and I love my Lite <3

I am definitely team retro HM.

I prefer the 8-bit graphics more than the latest DS projects... but of course, visuals must progress and take advantage of newer technology... :roll:

I like how Pokémon transitioned from the old graphics.
