Worth the addition of other races and sexualities, this could become the most open and true-to-our-world any game (that I can think of) has ever really been...ya know, other than the HUGE crops and being able to pick up houses all by yourself and such XD

That difference is a big one, and really defines two completely separate words. A really close example is the two words, 'yuuki' (courage) and 'yuki' (snow). Those words have completely different meanings. I said it could be a pun on 'yuri,' but probably a really contrived one. That said, 'Yuuri' does not have to be a female name. Actually, most Japanese names are unisex, unless the name ends with -maru or -ko. In fact, I searched the name on a Google image search, and the most common character to come up was Yuri from Tales of Vesperia, which is a male. ...Actually, I re-checked and 'Yuri' (ユリ) is also a name, but that one is female-only and means 'lily.' (That's not the same as the 'Yuuri' (ユーリ) we're talking about, which I'm not sure of the meaning.)

People should stop being sensitive and trying to find drama in everyone's post on the internet. It gets really annoying really fast and it's not something adults do. I have no problem with « lame turnip » people. But once they start putting them in video games rated E, people will start getting offended and sales will go down. Just saying.. but the world isn't as open to gays as some people are. Also it never said she was « lame turnip ».. so.. yeah.. saying I'm insulting « lame turnip » people by disliking a character in a game that isn't even « lame turnip » is a bit ridiculous and immature. I still think it's stupid that of all the things they could go with they go with a character no one knows the gender of. It's awkward and could have been replaced with something much more better. We've already seen tom boy girls in Harvest Moon. No one knowing its gender is just taking it to the extreme and could even confuse younger players who don't know of Fogu. I wouldn't be surprised if they take her out of the game in a localized version. I do agree though with people should be able to marry who they want, regardless of a gender. But I don't think it should be acknowledged in the game, because that's where problems will really start. The last thing we need is Harvest Moon being banned in places for having gays/lesbians/etc. This is the second time someone has « Baaaa *glomp* » to me because I have openly expressed my opinion about a character on Harvest Moon and I'm really getting sick of it. People need to grow up and act like adults. I'm tired of feeling like I'm back in middle school again. And at my age.. I shouldn't even remember what it's like to be in middle school.

People need to grow up and act like adults. I'm tired of feeling like I'm back in middle school again. And at my age.. I shouldn't even remember what it's like to be in middle school. First of all, I never said she's homosexual. Being genderqueer/transgender does not make someone homosexual at all. they can be, but not everyone is. and to avoid starting a flame war, I'll only say that with what you've said, this has happened many times with other people and the only thing in common is you and your comments. Maybe it's you being insensitive and not us being overly sensitive :/ If you have issues with this, PM me but I'm not about to be in an open flame war with you. Oh, and they can't "take her out". She's a big part of the game since she makes the clothes so the most they could do would be to lock her marriageable ability. Though I don't see why. I think it would cause more problems if they did since she only kinda looks like a boy. There are a *lot* of people who don't look like their gender who aren't genderqueer/transgender and that would be seen as Natsumi discriminating and being overly cautious. If they've left the game as it is and there are no homosexual characters, they have no reason to take her out or change her. Maybe it is just the way Yuri is. I actually really like that she is a tomboy because I am one myself. But she also can act really girly, because well she IS a girl after all. I think that is why I am so attracted to marrying her. She reminds me of myself a lot. I can be really boyish but at other times I'm SUPER girly and moe. XD She probably prefers that no one know her gender because maybe she'll feel that people will underestimate her? I don't really know. But whatever it is, I accept Yuri for who she is.
