Year 2 Animals?

I just finished my first year, and I bought myself a Suffolk sheepy. C:
I know that the jersey cows appear randomly, but when do the new chickens appear?
Are they random as well, or do they have a set date that they come out?

i think that you either have to wait till year 2 to get silkie chickens, or ship a 5 star egg

All of them will be randomly sold starting spring 1 of year 2. I don't know if you have to own a regular version of the animal or not but you don't have to ship anything for them to be sold.

The exception is the alpaca's, they aren't sold until Fall of year 2.

I also got the sullfolk right at the beginning of Spring, probably day 1 or 2. The silkie appeared a few days later. And the jersey were available at the end of Spring, when I had returned to Konohana and wasn't able to buy it anymore.

Every item/animal of every store is random.

I did not get the jersey until late in spring. First suffolk, then some days later the silkie.

Haha, in my game I randomly got the opposite - I was able to get the silkie and the jersey right away in Spring Year 2, but had to wait half a season for the suffolk. ^_^
