How do I make my own avatar from a pic on my computer?

How do I make my own avatar?

On the "edit avatar" page it says "upload from your machine" so I browse through my pictures folder and select an image but still nothing.

I'm new and very confused.

Please help.

Also, I remember a while back I was reading a post and someone said there was a page or something where you could have people make a sig. for you or something like that.

Yes, your avatar can't be bigger than 150 x 150 pixels and a file size no bigger than 40 KiB
If you already have an image that size saved on your computer, just upload it where it says "Upload from machine."
Sometimes though, Ushi is a butt and says the file size is too big.
If you have a photobucket account, you can upload your desired image there and then put the direct url into the "link offsite" bar.

If you'd like, though, I could make you one?
In the fan art section, there are a few graphic shops open where you can request sigs/avatars. It says Shop, but they're free, don't worry! lol

The Friend/Foe thing is in your User Control Panel. It's the last section you see on the left-hand side of the first page.

Anyway, adding people to your foes list hides their posts from you, like so:

It's basically there so if there's someone who has been bugging the hell out of you, or who routinely makes comments you find offensive, you can type their username in the little box and you won't have to read their posts. Sadly, you can't add specific Fishies to your foes list; they have to be a registered user.

As for the friends list, from what I've been able to determine, the main benefit is that it makes it easier to send certain people PMs, since all you have to do is select their username from the list, rather than having to type it out every time, which is helpful if you call them by a nickname and can't remember their full username. Again, they have to be a registered user in order to add them to your friends list.

I said OMG cause you're a UNoT Extreme Mooomber (So yeah you're kinda famous(at least from my point of veiw))

I guess having an UNoT Extreme Mooomber reply to my post got me excited (I feel stupid now)

Yeah, it will also tell you when they're online. No one will know if you add them to your friend/foe list.

I think the gold ones are popular threads (i.e., threads with more than a certain number of posts in them). If the chicken is moving, then you either haven't read it, or the thread's been posted in since the last time you read it.

the greyish still chickens are threads that you have read
the even greyer chickens that are facing away from you are locked threads, meaning that you can't post in them anymore.
