How do I make my own avatar from a pic on my computer?

one more thing:
if a chicken has a coloured background (gold if it is a regular topic, blue if it is a hot topic), that means you ahve posted in it

If you want to know more about people look for where they posted and click on Profile. There you can look at all the things they posted, How many times they posted, what they do/live/like (assuming that they put that info there) Like you for instance when I looked at your profile it said
