My character is always Kimmy (Although I don't really like the name anymore. I've used it for so long, I just can't change it.) and I always have a theme for my animals. Flowers, spices, fruits, whatever I could think of. My farm has always been Pokey, too.

I've always called my horse Epona, in honor of that feisty little filly from Ocarina of Time. X3

I always use my nickname as my MC's name.

I used to name my chickens after all the female Tenshi Muyo characters, but not recently. It's been so long since I've watched it, it doesn't feel... current. Nowadays I'm pulling names for everything out of a mental hat.

Its always Chick/Chick2/Chick3... for chickens and cow/cow2/cow3 for cows. I am sure you can guess the other animals. But for this game I can't figure out how to get access to numbers so I've started using the greek letters. So it's Cow/Cow(alpha)/Cow(beta) etc.

Main char is always Blxz and the farm is normally the place that I am living in at the time of purchase; so this ends up with something stupid like 'Toyama Farm' or 'Tokyo Farm'. Dogs and cats start of being my own but as I run out of names I just through in some random stuff that comes to mind, no theme unfortunately.

I always name my character after myself (just because I like to imagine me as the MC).

I usually just name my animals something that have to do with their products, or anime character names.
I ALWAYS name my farm "Animaga" which is a word I made up of a mix between Manga and Anime xD.

....That's bout it :) :lala:

My first cow is always named Mookie. From there I either keep an "M-" theme going or name them after deserts. Except I usually have a Daisy in there. Not sure why, but it always happens.
Chickens are usually Ruby, Topaz, Sapphire, etc. or rhyming names.
Goats usually have "R-" names, sheep typically are named after fabrics or plants.
Silkworms were named after pokemon in AP.
Horse is named after weather terms (Sunshine, Typhoon, Lightning).
Cats/Dogs are given names of pets I'd like to have/have had.

I name MC girl either Holly/Molly or Akira, and MC boy is either Aurel or James.
I might actually name the girl after me in LoB though since she can look like me~ (..and assuming we get 7 character spaces).
Kids are whatever kid names I'm fancying at the time and want to test drive, or anime characters I like. xD

And farms are named after fruits, unless there's a city/town theme going on with the names. :3

Let's see...

Chara: Female - My name (cuase I'm a girl duh) Male - A male name I like X3

Horse: Depends on the color

Livestock: Sometimes I give them names so that they're like sets (Like Tip,Top,Tap, etc. gee I'm original
/hit)

Pet - Ask other person in room who happens to just be standing there for good name. Cause I'm too lazy to come up with one.

Farm: It's usually star or moon but I'm going to try to come up with something more orginal. =P

horse=hazelnut
cow=paprika
chicken=mint and ect
my character= either my name (Olivia) or Evalin because I think it sounds cool ;)
not the best example but that's how I do it

Lon Lon Ranch for farm usually. Emily for character. And I at least have one very unoriginal Moo, or some variant of that for cow.

I just choose a random anime or show I like. Then all the animals are named after the characters in the show. I might choose Kingdom Hearts and name all the cows/chickens after characters. Kinda depressing when they die though...

for me it depends,

the last harvest moon i played (which was magical melody) i named my farm LonLon, my dog was named Dog, and my pig was named Bacon. i hadnt gotten the horse yet and when i do imma name her Epona.

i might do that again for land of beginnings, i dont know yet. i generally name the ranch/farm then just name the rest at random

i MIGHT use pokemon for a theme this time around, im a bit of a pokemon nerd :P

I name most of my animals after Fruits Basket characters:
Dog: Shigure
Cat: Kyo
Sheep: Hiro
Cows: Haru
Horse: Rin
Etc. etc.

Once I've run out, I think up names from various video games or give them the names of some of my relatives.. My dog usually called Shigure, bu in MFoT, It was called Cloud (from FF7).

You do know that in Twilight Princess, Epona is Link's horse?

Anyways, I also always name my child (if it's a brunette male)
James.
