I was trying to jump over my animals and it kept getting right under me till it made a chimming noise so i wanted to know what that did, does it increase the freindship with the animals or does it do nothing at all

i cant every get 15 my animals keep getting in the way, but what about the owl i got 5 jumps on it (( in konohana with a cow and no pasture for it how does it keep alive?!)) the small space in kono makes it hard to keep jumping on the animals and calfs are really hard ((only got 4 on calf))
