Pick Potatos, not boogers

Hi, The HM Games I have owned are: HM SNES HM 4 (FoMT) HM AWL Special Edition - Playstation 2 The one I've most played is HM FoMT, as it is my favourite game. Both of my brothers own HM DS, and I've watched them play it, and the game looks quite good. I'm beginning to run out of things to do on FoMT, so would you recommend I buy one?

I definitely enjoyed the game. There are so many things you can accomplish! It seems like the game will never end... If you get regular DS, make sure to check the code on the back (which can be difficult if you're buying a used copy from Gamestop, because some of their games have price stickers there). All you really have to note is if the number before the J is a 1 or a 0. If it's a 0, don't get it. It will be very glitchy and possibly unplayable. If you get Cute, don't worry. All versions are as non-glitchy as an HM game will be.

I would get both!!! DS and Cute are both amazing and you will never get bored. I also feel like it's fun to go back to it after I play RF3 and TOTT. The graphics for DS is so cute.

Well, perhaps it depends on your preference as well. I'll list some pros and cons.
Pros: - Imo, HMDS is slightly harder (if not slow) in the beginning since you start with nothing build on your farm except your farm house and horse stable. In previous HM games (or at least the one you've played), players are basically spoiled in which the chicken coop and barn are already available and you just need to expand that. In here, you basically need to work your sweat off and time to raise much money to build them with stronger materials (which are uber expensive if you don't level up your crops). - Many things to accomplish, so it doesn't end really quickly. - A lot of random events and mini-games. - HM games with the most number of potential marriageable candidate (although I don't really care about this).
Cons: - Massive amount of glitches. Version 1.1 and later should have fixed major bugs though so you should get that instead. - Drastically shallow characters if compared to their AWL's counterpart. - Marrying Mineral Town bachelorette will end your game. - You can only have male child.
Well, basically HMDS and HMDSC are the same game except swapped marriage candidates, choose your MC (MFoMT or AnWL MC), slightly more random events, minor bugs and aesthetic feature (like change your outfit color).

Cute was my first HM game, so I might be a little biased. I think it is worth it. Even though I have accidentally deleted my game file twice, I have felt like playing it back up because it is fun to do so. Now, I'm on year 3 and have more difficult harvest sprites unlocked than I did on any playthrough.
I normally don't re-play any game unless it is a favorite. So for me to re-do what I have already done is a big deal around here. Cute still remains my favorite so far and I still play it.

You're kind of the same as me, except that I played AWL on the GC. I got HM DS and yes, it is very enjoyable although much harder and longer than FOMT Some glitches can make you a billionaire too
