Absolutely. I was actually really unhappy they took it out; I've wished for something like that pretty much since I started playing the Harvest Moon series. That's why I didn't buy it. I'm learning Japanese, so I'm importing the Japanese version so I can not-quite-marry Witch Princess.

I'm pretty sure they're not going to put that kind of option in any future game now; I heard that it nearly didn't get translated at all because they didn't know what to do with the best friends thing. Even though you have to work pretty hard to get it (since they're the special girls) and it's not like something you have to do by any means.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter if one was going to use th BFS or not, the option had to be available. Just like choosing to play as a boy or a girl. Some don't like this, I believe it's a must. In game, you need these options.

I guess I would've done it simply because it's a feature none of the other games have ^^ It's interesting to try something different.

The BFs are my favorite love interests in this game. I also ship Jill/All-of-the-girls so.. Yea.
