Ushi No Tane - Harvest Moon

You are welcome to use any of these images for whatever you want to do with them (credit is always appreciated but not required) but you MUST right-click and save them to your own computer. If I find out people are linking directly to my images I'll take them down; Photobucket gives you an outrageous amount of monthly bandwidth but if people start using your images for other things, you're going to run out fast.

Are all of the sprites the same in Mineral Town and DS? (Obviously, I mean the ones that appear in both games.) I don't see how they could be much different, but the face images seem to have heavier, darker shading than in this one. If they are, then I saw a sheet of Jack somewhere, too (one like I'm doing, with them all across the page, not the ones in a straight line like Chris Fritz extracted from the game itself), and since he doesn't change clothes like the girl PCs, there would only be one sheet.

I guess after I finish Jill I'll work on the bachelors and the children. Wonder if I can figure out a way to get the Mineral Town guys to come to my town without a GBA.

These are awesome, really helpful, too!

Does anyone have any full-sized screen shots of the Mineral Town guys? (Preferrably PNGs or GIFs.) I've seen a few on the site and in people's sigs but they're either compressed (JPGs don't look exactly like they do in the game) or they've been shrunk, and I'm having trouble figuring out which colors go where, or even if they're the right ones, because the images have been altered so much from the original.

Here are the bachelors I've gotten done so far. I used Chris Fritz's sprite sheets and recolored them to match the screen shots. (I read what she said about using them and it sounds like it's okay. If not I'll take them down.)

I thought all of the bachelors had four outfits besides the basic one that they had in HMDS, but I can't find another outfit for Marlin. I'll do Skye and Kai next. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to figure out Gustafa. His sprite appears to be messed up somehow; I've done two screen shots of him wearing his regular brown outfit and green hat on different days in the same position in the same spot and they don't match. Not just the layout of the pixels, even the color of his hat and the hat band are different. (Not sure how that's even possible.) Neither of them are exactly the same as Chris's. I did another of him in two different poses wearing the blue outfit; the colors matched but the one of him from the side didn't exactly match either of my previous screenshots or Chris's. Some of her others didn't perfectly match mine, either, so I guess the game has some kind of bug in the coding. The problem with Gustafa is that his shirt has some of the same colors as his guitar and if you've ever edited pixel graphics, you know how hard it can be to work with such small images! It's hard to tell what to change and what to leave alone, lest he end up with a blue polka-dot guitar!

And in case you didn't notice, I added Jill to the first post of the topic. It didn't get bumped up, though, so I guess from now on I'll add the new stuff in a new post, but I'll try to remember to edit the first one so everything's in one place, too.

Pony's outfits would be a bit hard. o.o

Actually, they're not if I have a screenshot from the game. Other than Gustafa being messed up, they're all wearing the exact same outfit all the time. They just substitute one color for another. I have Paint Shop Pro and I can click on a specific pixel, select all the pixels in the image of the same color, and then pick the color from that pixel out of the screen shot and fill all of the sprites in the whole sheet with that color.

There are some problems sometimes--Rock's vest is the same color as his mouth, so every time I change his clothes he ends up with a green/purple/blue/red/pink/whatever mouth, Griffin's basic brown outfit has some of the same colors as his hair (he looks interesting with a blue ponytail; I was just curious), and I didn't notice that Marlin's regular outfit has his eye color in it until I made a whole sheet of him with bright red eyes!--but since these are so small, there's not much of a problem. My eyes are starting to cross from staring at these tiny images all day so I did Claire's headshot in the different colors to match her outfits. That wasn't too bad, but now I'm trying to do Pony's, and that's going to be more complicated just because of the pixellation around the oval on her shirt.
