Birthdays that take place during this season are: Fritz (08), Otmar (17), Pepita (20), Klaus (24), and Dessie (26)

Spring 10 : Spring Fashion Show

screen shot

This event is available starting in year 2. Earlier in the season you will have received a letter from Del Cossa that tells you the general theme for the upcoming fashion show. Meet with Veronica at the Trade Depot between 10:00 and 13:00 to participate in the fashion show. You will be in charge of dressing up a model to show off the clothing and accessories that are currently inside your clothing closet. You won't be given new clothing for the contest, and the clothing isn't lost, used, or sold once the show is over; it goes back into your closet. If you forget what the theme is, Veronica will remind you after you agree to participate in the festival.

Veronica will have you select the gender of your model. If you change your mind, you will have to back completely out by pressing the B Button, and then talk to Veronica again to ask about participating. The gender of the character your pick doesn't matter from a victory sense, since the clothing and style options are available for both genders.

You can then style your model just like you were creating a new character: skin color, face design options, hair style, eye and hair color, and then the clothing, hats, and accessories. You can press the Left Shoulder and Right Shoulder buttons to change the angle your model is facing. The physical features of your model won't help with winning the contest, but the clothing and accessories will. Try to pick items that are based on the festival's theme. When you have finished designing your fashion dummy, press the X Button.

Veronica will then bring you and the three random contestants together. Each of you will show off your fashion model, while Del Cossa gives his opinion on each one. After the judgement, Veronica will announce the winner.

If you win the festival you will earn +1000 FP with the villagers, your clothing brand rank will increase, and you will receive a blueprint prize. Anything other than first place will earn you +500 FP with the villagers.

Spring 14: White Day

This event will vary depending on the gender of your character.

If you are playing as a Boy

screen shot

This is the day that you will give gifts to the available bachelorettes. The gifts you can give and which count towards the day's events are Cream Puff, Crepe, Madeline, Pudding, Shortcake, and Soy Milk Cookies. If you haven't made any Harmony Day gifts, then you can buy some from Otmar's shop. On this special day he will sell Soy Milk Cookies for 150 G each and Madeline for 450 G each. You will receive +1000 FP with each bachelorette that you give a Harmony Day gift to

If you are playing as a Girl and are not Married

This event will be a response to the dessert gifts you gave to the boys on Winter 14. Walk into your house between 12:00 and 18:00, and each of the bachelors will stop by and give you a treat. They will come by one at a time, right after each other, so you won't have to keep walking in and out of your house to trigger the event.

You'll receive a gift from 1) any boy that you gave a gift to on Winter Harmony Day, or 2) any boy that you didn't give a gift to and who has at least a purple flower color (10,000+ FP). This means in year 1 you won't receive anything as a reward for the Winter Harmony Day gift (as you weren't around during the prior Winter), nor will you be at a purple flower color with a marriage candidate by the 14th, so nothing special will happen on this day.

Even if you have a boyfriend (i.e., you are going steady with someone), all the boys will still stop by your house to deliver a gift.

For each bachelor who gives you a gift you'll receive +1000 FP for that boy.

If you are a Girl and are Married

Your spouse will have a special food party for you at night. Go in your house any time of the day before 23:59 and he will set up a special meal for you. You'll receive +1000 FP with your spouse.

Spring 19: Moo-Moo Festival

screen shot

You can participate in the festival in your first year if you can use the cow that Eda gives you. Your cow won't be friendly enough to win, but at least you can participate! To unlock Eda's free cow you must have Gunther remodel your house. To upgrade your house before Spring 19, visit the carpenter shop and Gunther will request that you collect 15 Small Stone Lumber and 15 Small Lumber. When you have collected the materials, return to the shop. If the weather is sunny, Gunther will help you to remodel your house and build a livestock barn. Eda will stop by and deliver a cow after Gunther has explained how to use the features of your new house.

Meet with Veronica at the entrance to the Trade Depot between 10:00 and 13:00 to participate in the cow contest. The types of cows you can enter are normal cows, Jersey Cows, and Bahaman Cows. You can enter any adult cow that is not sick or pregnant.

The factors that determine your chances of victory are:

Another factor that determines your victory are your competitors, especially your rivals. Elisa is your biggest competition, followed by Giorgio, Fritz, Eda, and then the random no-portrait villagers. Also, any stress your contest entry has will negatively impact Wantatan's judgment of it.

If you win the Cow Festival, you will gain +30 FP with your contest entry, receive a random blueprint, earn +1000 FP with the villagers, and increase your brand with that breed of animal (e.g., win the festival with a Jersey Cow and your Jersey Milk product brand will increase). Second place will earn you +20 FP with your animal and third place will be +10 FP. For the villagers, anything other than first place will earn +500 FP with them.

Spring 25 : Tea Festival

screen shot

This event will be available after you have unlocked three or more Trade Depot vendors, so typically in year 2 of your game. To begin this festival, talk to Veronica at the Guild Hall between 10:00 and 13:00, and not at the entrance to the Trade Depot like with the rest of the game's festivals.

You will need to bring Veronica as many drinks to offer for the festival as the number of Trade Depot vendors that you've unlocked, and it doesn't necessarily have to be tea related. Any type of drink that you can cook from the Drink category in your kitchen will be fine. The drinks can all be the same thing if that's what you have available.

After submitting your drinks, Veronica will collect them and start hosting the tea party at your house for the international traders. After the party Veronica will tell you the name of the Trade Depot vendor who will have an inventory sale to thank you for your courtesy, which will be chosen based on the highest vendor you've interacted with (e.g., if you sold and bought a lot from Ashe at Silk Country, then she will be the vendor who is having the thank-you sale). The amount of the discount for that specific vendor will be determined by the Star Rank of the drinks you served and your friendship level with that vendor. Ideally, you will want to serve 5-Star drinks. The vendor will put all of his or her stock inventory items on sale, but the blueprints, cooking recipes, and sewing patterns will not be part of the sale.

Veronica will also reward you with random items, typically cooking staples, cloth, or wild items. Occasionally you might receive a Crystal or Agate. You will also earn +2000 FP with Veronica and +1000 Customer Points with all of the attending international vendors.

The event will end at 15:00, and you won't recover any of your stamina.

Spring 30 : Harvest Festival

screen shot

Go to the Trade Depot and talk to Veronica between 10:00 and 13:00. She will ask you to select a crop from your rucksack to enter into the festival. Depending on the crop you select, you will be entered into the vegetable category, flower category, fruit category, or miscellaneous category.

You do not have to enter Spring-only crops! If you have crops from other seasons, you are free to enter those if you want. You are not penalized for entering non-Spring crops.

The crop festival increases in difficulty each year. Year 5 and later is when it is at its maximum difficulty level. The factors that determine your chance of winning are the Star Rank of the crop you enter plus whether it is at its maximum freshness (note that flowers do not have a freshness quality). The higher the Star Rank of your entry, the greater the chance that you'll win. Naturally it is also best to enter a fresh crop you just harvested instead of one that you've had in your rucksack for 3 days.

Your competitors also factor into your chances of winning. Giorgio is your most challenging competition, followed by Elise, Eda, Fritz, and then the no-portrait random villagers. Note that even if you enter a 5-star item there is still a chance you'll lose, which depends on the difficulty of your competition.

If Matsuba judges your crop entry to be the winner, then you will earn +1000 FP with the villagers, a random cooking recipe set or blueprint, and the brand associated with the winning entry will increase. If you don't win first place, you will still earn +500 FP with the villagers.

Spring 31 : Flower Fair

screen shot

On this day you can raise your friendship with the villagers by giving them a flower. Depending on the type of flower given you can earn different amounts of friendship points:

Non-flower gifts are worth the same amount as any normal day, and the flower counts as the gift for the day. You can't give a second gift to a villager if you give the villager a flower, nor can you give a flower to a villager that you've already gifted that day. You can give to any villager and they will thank you for your Flower Festival gift. This isn't exclusively a marriage candidate-only event.

If you haven't talked to a villager in a while, the person won't accept your flower gift (or any gift for that matter). You may want to talk to all of the villagers the day before the festival so that your gift will not be rejected.
