Gunther
The carpenter of Oak Tree Town, Gunther lives in the southern area of town. He runs his carpentry shop along with his spouse, Corona. While Gunther runs around town to fix things, Corona stays back at the shop to manage the day-to-day business. She also keeps him well fed!
Any large-sized buildings that you make by using the Craft Table will involve a visit from Gunther. He won't help you with your building, but he appears in the little scene that plays while you put your materials together. You don't need to pay him any money or request his assistance from Corona.
Gunther spends a lot of time inside of his shop. On Wednesday and Saturday afternoons you might find him wandering around outside. He is not in town on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from about 8:00 to 17:00.

Puffer Stew = Pufferfish + Radish + Napa Cabbage (or Bok Choy) + a mushroom. The cooking recipe can be obtained by winning a Harvest Festival, Fishing Contest, or Cooking Competition. The prize you want is Recipe Set 10, which won't unlock until you win Recipe Sets 7 and 8. Pufferfish can be caught during Winter while fishing using a Sacred Fishing Rod at the dock on your farm or either dock in the Riverside Pasture area. Radish and Napa Cabbage are winter season crops (sometimes Napa Cabbage is named Bok Choy in the game).
Loved Gifts (+500 FP)
The easiest gift to make him is Grilled Fish. The recipe can be found at Silk Country for 1500 G and simply requires you to use your kitchen to cook any fish. The other option is Bouillabaisse; the recipe is for sale at Rose Country starting in Winter of year 1.
Unfortunately, Gunther's other gifts are not so easy to obtain. The closest would be King Bait made by Otmar at his General Store by combining 1 shellfish, 1 small sized fish, 1 medium sized fish, and 1 large sized fish. The next easiest would be Fish Pie, which has simple enough ingredients (fish + flour), but the recipe is for sale at Tropical Country.
