Fall 22 - Fashion Show
The fashion show takes place once per year. If your house is level 2 or higher (which is required to unlock the clothing closet), this festival unlocks around Fall 7. Talk to MC in the crossroads between 10:00 and 13:00 to participate. For your first time at the fashion show (e.g., the Beginner rank), there are no special requirements and you just need to look good or "chic." Each time you win the festival the difficulty rank increase along with the judgment categories, which will reflect on your calendar inside your house on Fall 1 of each year.
The judgment categories will be based on:
- Style: Elegant, Wild, Natural, Lovely, or Bizarre
- Color: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Red, White, or Yellow
- Culture: Westown, Lulukoko, Tsuyukusa, or Other
The entry for the fashion show is you! The clothing, eyewear, and hat that you are wearing when you participate in the contest will be judged by Del Cossa the traveling fashion judge. The hair style, hair color, and eye color has no impact on your fashion sense. Whether the clothing is for boy or girl also does not matter during the fashion show.
Your clothing closet will tell you the style, color, and culture of each wearable item you have. Simply select an item in your closet and press the Y Button to see its details.
The icon in the upper-left corner will indicate the culture using the towns' icon; the Other category is marked with a boat icon. The culture is a factor if you are participating in the Legend rank of the fashion show.
The style is a 9-point scale listed for each specific style. Some clothing items will have a few style categories and some just have one. For contests that require a style, pick the outfit that has the most points in that style category. Some contests will list two styles, with the first style being the main style to concentrate on and the second style to be a sub-style.
At the bottom of the item profile is the color options. From veteran rank and higher, you will be asked to use clothing, eyewear, and hats that include a specific color.
You will need to be wearing your fashion show choices when you talk to the festival MC at the Crossroads to enter the contest. You'll go up against three other fashion models, with Del Cossa giving his opinion on each contestants's fashion sense. If you're the winner you'll earn +1500 FP with the villagers and +3 AP with the marriage candidates. If you don't win you'll still earn +500 FP and +1 AP.
For winning the Beginning rank you will receive a random item prize. For Veteran and higher you will receive the following prizes in sequential order:

Technical Details
Farmer Zuldaar has drafted a spreadsheet of the points assigned to each clothing outfit, eyewear, and hats that may help you tally your festival point values:
This festival is pretty easy to win now that you have clear information about each clothing item from within your clothing closet. The fashion show judgment is based on the point value of your wearable items plus any bonus points. To win the contest you will need to earn:
- Beginner: 1 to 6 points or more, no special judgment criteria
- Veteran: 11 to 18 points or more based on main style and color
- Expert: 25 to 36 points or more based on main style, color, and sub style
- Legend: 50 to 63 points or more based on main style, color, sub style, and culture
The points are mainly tallied based on the contest's style times two. For example, if the style being judged was Natural, and you wear something that has 7 Natural points, you would earn 14 points (7 × 2 = 14). On the other hand, if your outfit had 7 Elegant points and 2 Natural points, you would only earn 4 points for the contest since Elegant is not being judged.
Clothing, hats, and eyewear can all award style points. If you happen to wear something that has a Bizarre style and you aren't be judged in the Bizarre style category, that will actually deduct points instead of add points.
After the base points you can tally bonus points:
- +5 points for matching the color if that is a judgment criteria. This counts on each of the three pieces.
- +5 points if matching the culture if that is a judgment criteria. This too counts on each of the three pieces.
- +10 points if you wear items that have 2 or fewer matching colors, basically a single- or bi-color bonus (e.g., all your items only have the red color and no other color)
- +10 points if you wear items that have 6 or more colors, basically a multi-color bonus (e.g., you are wearing clothes that have red, blue, and white; your hat is black and brown; and you have green eyeglasses)
- +10 points if all three wearable pieces are from the same culture category
- +10 points if you are wearing a matching clothing and hat set. Sometimes when you receive outfits from festival victories you'll get clothing and a matching hat such as the animal costumes. Other times you can craft these separately such as the Chef's Outfit and the Chef's Hat. There are 37 outfits that are obviously matching sets.
- +5 points if you are wearing a Tasty matching set outfit. These are the Dessert outfits, the Sweets outfits, and the Fruit outfits.
With so many ways to earn points, you can see how easy it is to win the fashion show.
