Friend Event - The Mysterious Applique

screen shot

Colin calls out to you as you are walking by. He has something he wants to discuss with you. He takes you back to his room and explains that somehow he is getting appliques on his clothes. He just had a rabbit applique before, but now he has a rabbit applique and a bear applique! He doesn't know how the bear applique got there. Colin thought his grandma was sewing appliquees on his clothes, but the bear applique appeared a few days ago while Megan was away. He doesn't believe his dad did it and not knowing who is adding appliques to his clothes is a little creepy. Colin wants you to help him solve the mystery.

Hector comes upstairs, and you ask him if he knows anything about the appliques on Colin's clothes. Hector assumed that Megan was doing it, but Colin replies that it happened when she was not around. Hector scoffs and says that if Colin has the free time to worry about such things, why doesn't he go and help his grandma care for the animals? Hector leaves to go help too.

Colin decides that it must have been his grandma who attached the appliques to his clothes, as it isn't completely impossible. He thanks you for your help but he doesn't need to investigate anymore. It is rare for his dad to get mad at him, and he didn't know he would get into trouble for talking about it. Colin thanks you for taking him serious and listening to him.

As you head back outside, Hector stops you and apologizes for his behavior. He is the one who has been adding appliques to Colin's clothes! He is afraid of being laughed at if others realized that a guy like him knew how to sew. Hector asks that you don't tell Colin. Sooner or later Colin will figure it out anyway...
