Friend Event - The 3 Childhood Friends, Part 2

screen shot

In the main room you'll find Iluka telling a fisherman that tomorrow will be fine weather for catching sardines. The man is grateful for the shrine maiden's insight, until she tries to charge him 15,800 G for her advice. Iluka suggests that the man can pay her tomorrow after he has collected the great catch she has predicted for him.

After the fisherman leaves, Ludus asks your opinion about Iluka's outrageous weather forecasting fee. Iluka becomes angry at him. Besides, she doesn't charge people who are staying at the inn or any of the Lulukoko villagers. That fisherman was from a far away village, and how can you not be a fisherman and have some sense of the weather by looking out at the ocean?

Iluka explains that she can feel the natural aura of the air and watches the movement of the clouds in order to forecast the weather. Iluka was born with this natural ability. She can also understand the movement of waves, which makes her a great sea navigator.

Choice 1: How'd you get into that shipwreck, then?

That is a reasonable question, but what does weather forecasting have to do with shipwrecks?

Result: -1000 FP with Iluka

Choice 2: That's incredible!

Yes, she admits that she is pretty awesome.

Result: +2000 FP with Iluka

Ludus knows that she wasn't born with her "ability" though. If she was that good, then they wouldn't have gotten in that shipwreck. Iluka doesn't want him talking about that incident so loudly, but she lets him continue on about it. She finally admits that she took to studying weather forecasting after returning home from surviving the shipwreck; it helped her put things into perspective when her life was in danger.

Ludus explains that Iluka had decided to take a small boat out for an adventure, so he and Siluka tagged along. Unfortunately they were caught in a typhoon and landed on a deserted island. Together they survived there for about a month until a passing ship picked them up and brought them back home. You're in shock about hearing the tale, and Iluka interprets it as you think she was to blame. She doesn't want to talk about it anymore and leaves the two of you behind.

Iluka doesn't like talking about that incident, he explains. Even though they all returned home safely, she doesn't want to face the fact that she put her sister's life in danger. It is true that if she hasn't experienced the hurricane she probably wouldn't of started studying weather forecasting. It has benefited everyone in the village, so it has turned out okay.

Iluka comes back and demands that you two come help her. Siluka has collected a lot of herbs and it's too heavy for them to carry it back on their own. Ludus grudgingly admits that the shipwreck didn't correct Iluka's royal highness-like attitude.
