Harvest Moon Sprite Rangers says:
Minor question, but, did they mean Ibuki instead of Ibuku?

This is why I hate handheld HMs. They overcomplicate this crap to artificially lengthen the play time and make it seem like there's more meaningful content than there really is. There really isn't a good reason for those mechanics ("realism" isn't a good reason when it impacts gameplay this way).

Of course, I'm sure the HM Defense Force will rush in and angrily declare every HM ever is perfect and wholesome and virginal and angelic and if I don't like it, blah blah.

No I actually agree with you. The whole tailoring thing sounds like a huge pain in the ass. I might just avoid that whole aspect of the game. Hoping the rest of the game is better.

Everyone has their own preferences, though. To me, this is meaningful content, and I'm more excited about the complexity here than in anything else that I've learned about the game so far. But like I said, everyone has their own preferences. :)

Lovely. I hope I can have multiple sheds and set up my own tailoring operation.

I actually love this complex nature of the sewing shed... Mainly because I knit and even spin my own yarn. It's definitely not as fast as the yarn marker in other Harvest Moons for sure! However, from what I am seeing with the amount of recipes for all the choices, they are probably done the research of all the types of yarns, dyes, and even loom patterns to come up with different fabrics and such, especially with spotting the patterned clothes on the wall. I am curious as to how this will work out as it might be fun with it being more complex.

I like the idea of being able to do so much with clothes. I have seen the seed maker shed and at first glance that looked complicated as well (you have to use the dryer than a seed maker, and also a machine for different fertilizers) but after looking back on it it seems great. The only problem I have with the game is the depth of the character speech, or perhaps that is just a side effect of having seen the greatly expanded character interaction in RF4. Right now I just hope they hurry up and get this in English so I can waste a couple of 100 hours playing :P

This makes me extra excited! I'm hoping mining is a little more involved than in ANB.

My first thought reading all of the steps was "Holy Sheep that's a lot of recipes!"

Don't know how I'll feel about it overall. I had mixed feelings about the windmills in GB. I guess how annoying I find it will depend on how big the bottleneck is, if I'm trying to make 10 different outfits at once that's going to be hard on my patience, then again if I'm just making one or two at a time the wait shouldn't be too bad.
