Artbook and Sales Figures | Posted at 09:24 AM 25 May 2012To celebrate the 15 year anniversary of Bokujou Monogatari in Japan, MAQL will be releasing an artbook. The illustrated book will cover all the games, starting from the first SNES version and continuing all the way up to the latest, Land of Beginning (Hajimari no Daichi). For those of you who are interested in buying the book, you will want to check with your local Japanese bookstore to see if they can import a copy for you. It is available on Amazon.jp, but the book costs 2,940 Yen (about $36 US) and shipping from Amazon.jp to the US costs 3,000 yen ($37 USD). Not cheap! Another option is through Play Asia.com, but the internet importer is charging $54 + shipping for it. If you're going to your local Japanese bookstore, give the clerk the book's ISBN number (4198634149) and see if the store can order you a copy. It'll most likely be much less expensive than importing it yourself, and you'll be helping a local business anyway. MAQL has also revealed that Land of Beginning has sold over 200,000 copies in Japan! Looks like it may eventually catch up, and perhaps surpass, the sales of "Island of Happiness."
