The Sewing Shed in CNW | Posted at 10:29 AM 12 April 2014
Today we're going to go over the Sewing Shed, which is a maker shed you can build on your farm to make clothing and accessories for your character to wear. While you have a Closet inside your house to change your outfit, the Sewing Shed is required to actually make additional outfits.

After you buy the 40,000 G blueprint and make the shed, you can convert fur into yarn, dye it, spin it into thread/cloth, and then make the actual clothing. Since there are so many steps required to sew, the sewing room is excessively complex. Each one of these steps takes time, with the actual sewing taking the longest. It isn't like in Harvest Moon: A New Beginning where you instantly get returned materials from the Cloth Maker machine, take it to Yuri, and get an instant outfit for your closet. It is more like using the windmills in Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar; you put in your materials for the recipe and then you go do something else until the notification appears at the bottom of your screen.

Another issue is the Sewing Shed, as well as the other sheds, doesn't keep track of the finished items that you have already crafted and have in your inventory. Since you can sell clothing to the international Trade Station, if you are trying to make one of each outfit for your farm house Closet then you'll need to keep track of the outfits and accessories you've already crafted, so you don't waste materials making duplicate items. Luckly you can buy low Star Rank fabrics from the Trade Station vendors if you don't want to use your own farm products.

And here is the May 4-col CNW NintendoDream comic!
